It has two original magnifying lens(pictured) One is marked Bausch and Lomb Optical Co. 16 mm) Rochester N.Y. and the other one is marked Spencer Buffalo USA(40 mm, 2.8X) both are in best working condition including the microscope. It is heavy and weighs almost 8 lbs. There are a few missing parts as you can see in the photos so please ask questions if you have. This is a chance to own a piece of our early history.

Vintage Ernst Wetzlar Microscope Made in Germany in 1930's
This Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope was made in Germany in the 1930's. The microscope is made of brass and cast iron that is painted in black. It features: eyepiece lens 12X with encryption Ernst Leitz Wetzlar. A body tube that is mounted on rack work for focusing; the horseshoe plate is the stage with nickel spring clips, adjustment knob, stage height adjustment, reflective mirror to supply light to the object and the objective lens for magnifying. The microscope is hallmarked Ernst Leitz Wetzlar with the serial No. 295158(body Tube) and Germany on the base. The brass shows some sign of age appropriate ware but overall the microscope is in good working condition. The microscope measures 10 3/4" height x 4" width and it comes in its original solid wood case. Highly collectible piece and a great buy for scientific equipment collectors!

CARL ZEISS JENA MICROSCOPE w/OAK CASE& OBJECTIVES IN CASES This is an antique Carl Zeiss Jena microscope. This beautiful brass and japanned black microscope comes in its original box/carrying case. There are three objectives. Each with its own carrying case. They are all brass: 8 is marked"A" and 2.0, 40 is marked"D" and 0.65, 90 is marked H1 and 1.25 and also 1/12" It is very tiny) There are two ocular lenses- the 10X and the 7X. The lens and cases are all in really nice condition. The microscope is missing the inside wheel for the fine adjustment and also some piece near the top(see picture#5) The oak case has been repaired. It had been cracked in half near the bottom and now it has two screws and is once again solid. You can also see a crack running down the top but the case is solid. I am not anything close to being a scientist so it is completely out of my league to give a really good description. In my novice opinion only all of the lens are in acceptable condition. They may need to be cleaned. We did shine a flash light on the mirror with a dirty cue tip over the hole and were able to see an image. Other than this the item is untested. Basically I wouldn't know how to thoroughly test this item. Both of the eye pieces that you look in slide out and are removable. Please look over all the pictures carefully and make sure this is a good item for you because I will NOT accept a return. The black box contains 50“Microscopical Preparations” slides, including diatoms of various things like“The Tongue of a Snail, or"The Abdomen of a Bee. The best I’ve been able to determine, these slides became popular in the mid-1800s, and had something of a heyday in the 1880s or so. The case is in very good condition. Though i t has some scuffs- included in photos. The two front hook latches close into a circular catch. It says“Microscopical Preparations” and Hensoldt/Wetzlar/Germany with the Wetzlar logo. It also says Hensoldt/Wetzlar/Germany on the right side of all the slides. Some of the slides have a black circle encasing the specimen and others have a ... moreraised top over the specimen. Hensoldt is a German microscope maker. I have seen some slides online with“M. Hensoldt” on it. With the same sort of paper, dated to about 1880 or so. These slides without the“M. for Moritz, the founder) may be a little later, though they use the same paper and style, so my guess is that they are of that same era. One of the few mentions I found during my research of the Hensoldt slides indicated that a famous British slide-preparer had actually purchased his slides from M. Hensoldt. Took the Hensoldt papers off of them, and then put his own name on them to sell mostly because of the maker's products superior quality. I say 50 slides– but there is actually one of them that appears to be a blank without a specimen on it. None of them appear to be cracked or chipped.
