A quite large type of shutter-the front element has a M45 thread mount-and the rear element is M50. Both elements are easy to take off by hand from the shutter. The shutter has a retaining ring to hold it on the wood board. The shutter appears to be in good working order-the B and T shutter are working as should-on the M setting.The different speeds appear to work-but i cannot guarantee their accuracy. The shutter cocks and fires and is snappy. The shutter is also branded as Zeiss Ikon-so this means this lens was used on one of their cameras. The lens is in used but overall very nice condition-it has faint traces of use on it.S body-but nothing to be worried about. Have a good look at the pictures and judge for yourself its condition. The aperture is working as should. Large format photography is not my area of expertise-so i do not know what format it covers. Glass is in nice condition.No fungus,haze-scratches or such problems. WWII German Carl Zeiss U Boat Binoculars WOW! An incredible pair of World War 2 era. German u-boat/field binoculars. Absolutely the cleanest pair I have ever seen(we are talking at least 97% These binoculars are completely operational, coated lenses are clear and clean(no scratches or nicks) The only issues Ive found are a small nick to the finish on one side and a small bit of paint loss to the perimeter around one of the objective lenses(see pics) Also I noticed a small speck on the prism of one side but can only be seen when viewing backwards through the objective lens, this is not visible at all when viewing through the ocular lenses. No clouding to either of the lenses. Binoculars are all original including bakelite ocular lens cover. Offered for your bidding. Is a Carl Zeiss SM ll( Stereo Microscope"2" manufactured between 1960 and 1968. It could be considered"vintage" but completely functional. It has a 5-step fixed magnification changer(0.6; 1; 1,6; 2,5; 4) and although t he base and stage is from a more current version of Zeiss microscopes than the head. All parts from the Zeiss SM I, II, 11 and IV are all 100% interchangeable. Cosmetically, this fine instrument may show the wear of years of use in a geochemistry lab, but it is in 100% working order. The optics are clear and sharp. The base/stage is outfitted for both reflected light and transmitted light. And it has an under stage mirror and two illuminator lamp socket holders, complete with the lamps. Included are 3 replacement genuine Zeiss illuminator bulbs( note that the bulb in the brown box ... morein the photographis not included: it belongs to a different lamp) Also included is an eyepiece micrometer insert. Antique Carl Zeiss JENA binoculars/magnifying glasses
I have here a pair of early Carl Zeiss JENA spectacles. Anything built in Jena. Germany pre dates WWII since the company split in half around that time. I am unsure of the proper name for them. I think they were used as close range binoculars, or something similar. Everything is still intact, the arms fold out smoothly, the caps on the ends revealing the engravings remove with ease. They are slightly tarnished but I didnt want to risk damaging them with a cleaner. They are kept in a case at all times, but it isn't the origional case, unfortunately.

Very nice Carl Zeiss Jena S Sonnar 135mm f3.5 lens M42 screw
This late example of the famous lens is in superb and almost unmarked condition. It is marked simply"S" as an abbreviation of"Sonnar" The West German Zeiss having appropriated sole use of the name at this time. Nonetheless, it is certainly a Sonnar! The superb quality of these lenses has meant that they are commonly used with DSLR cameras on inexpensive adapters. There is a very slight flattening of a small part of the front filter ring. Around the third digit of the serial number. Filters mount and dismount without any difficulty at all. Other than this, it basically looks like it did when new. The glass is very clear and unscratched. Its multi-coated surface unblemished. There is no hint of any fungus, and I cannot even see any dust apart from a few specks sitting on the outside of the rear element, though common sense ... moresuggests that there must be some somewhere. The aperture stops down and re-opens correctly and instantly. The focus is absolutely typical for good examples of these lenses. Which is to say that it is basically smooth and without backlash, but can sometimes feel very slightly"lumpy" if you turn the ring very fast. This is not something you will often encounter with the best Japanese lenses, and nor is it something most sellers will mention, but it seems to be pretty much a fact of life with East German lenses. Early examples tend to be both stiff and really unpleasantly lumpy. This lens is much nicer to use than that, but you can't compare the evenness of focus of these lenses with that of, say, a Takumar lens in similar condition. On the other hand, this is an even better lens optically than any of the Takumar 135mm lenses, and focuses much closer, as well! The lens comes with the original push-on front cap and an unbranded screw-on rear cap. It will be sent carefully packed. Using a tracked and insured service.
