Bausch and Lomb Field Portable Monocular Microscope 100x, compact goodie
This is a small size but good quality B&L field microscope. It weighs only 10oz and stands 7.5" tall.small enough for many a glove compartment or any backpack. It has a fixed magnification of 100X and is focused by turning the eyepiece. The image is not the quality of a laboratory microscope. But quite good and far better than the toy instruments sold in kits. A concave mirror on the base swivels to direct lighting. It is decent size and provides good lighting. One of the clips to hold slides is missing but the one that is present is fully satisfactory. Overall condition is excellent, clean and without damage or wear and tear. Up for auction is this used Bausch& Lomb stereo zoom microscope. Microscope has 2 each B&L 10x W.F. eye pieces and Trans illumination base that is missing it's reflective mirror. Zoom magnification from 0.7x- 3X. Viewing is clear from hazing and scratches but eye pieces could use cleaning. The zoom feature works fine. The microscope shows use with tape or tape residue and a some scratches from use. Variable light works great but the light part is broken in two pieces but could be used as is or glued and taped. You are looking at a pair of True VINTAGE Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses. These glasses have been sitting in a drawer for about 20 years. They were pre worn by my husband. But look good for previously worn sunglasses. He's always been very particular) Light aging to frames. Lens look scratch free when looking through them. My particular husband tried them back on with no hindrance to eyesight at all. I did the same and would have kept for myself, but husband said the lens are a little large on my small frame face, and my daughter 22 said"way too large for me" On the right lens, I see several scratches, but i guess b/c of the B& L quality lens the scratches are not noticeable when looking through the glasses or from the inside of lens. The base appears to be Solid Brass with some kind of Bone or Ivory Locking Adjustment Arm/Handle. I do not know how old the finger print magnifier is but it looks like it has good age to it. On the top of the box is“finger print magnifier No. 31-61-90 Bausch& Lomb optical Co. Rochester. N.Y. U.S.A. no. 4064. has a tripod small magnifier and from metal rim to metal rim is 1 ¾ inches and 1 ¾ inches high. Magnifier unscrews so you have just the tripod. Also have two more lenses. I do not know if these two extra lenses goes with the magnifier. But you can lay the two lenses on top of the tripod. Condition: box is in poor to fair shape with box rip up a little on top of box. Also a few stains on the box. The tripod with the magnifier is in very good shape with tiny nick on one of the rims. The other two lenses is in very good shape with some very light wear. Nor do I know a whole lot about cameras, so I'll do my best to describe it. This camera appears to be missing some parts, I took 12 pictures so please look them all over good. The frosted piece of glass that sits on the top has been broke and repaired(see pictures) The mirror is in good shape, and the arm mechanism that moves it up and down functions well. The lens is marked: Alphax Wollensak Rochester USA(there's no glass in the lens itself) The lens shutter mechanism moves/clicks. The bellow is in good condition.
