The other possibilities are that this is the regulator for an early oxy-acetylene welding set-up or simply a natural gas regulator. If you have more information about this piece I'd like to hear it! Mercedes Benz vintage automotive ornament 6/85? Dayton markings-for grill? mod
I purchased this many years ago in Monterey. California simply because it is Mercedes. The protrusion is threaded so the only place that I can see that it could go is on the grill.at least in the photos that I was able to google. It is chrome with wear and the top inside appears to be lacquered with gold surrounded by black. Markings inside back of this piece says 6-85-86? Dayton. Hard for me to see. The center inside of the three prong measures 2 1/2" across, 1" high, 4 1/2 from one side to end of one point. I didn't know how else to measure.
