Stainless Steel SS Jacketed Sanitary Bulk Storage Tank
Stainless Tank For sale is a SS tank that I'm assuming can possibly be put back to work but it has an issue to deal with first. The problem must have arisen from a failure to properly vent the tank while it was being drained because there is a portion of the interior wall that looks like it was drawn inward from a vacuum condition developing. I'm not really qualified to say for sure. But I am considering that the tank can possibly be repaired and my thoughts amount to either pushing the projected area back into place and patching the short tears that took place from the stretching, or, I'm wondering if the interior can be gutted to create a single wall tank. I entered the tank for a closer look and realized that the damage appears to exist only on the lower quarter of one side, which I have tried to present in the pics, I'll ... moreestimate the projected area to be about six inches high at it's most extreme measure. Then ramping down to the outward points. The short tears that are a few inches long in a couple of areas are presumably from the liner stretching as I had mentioned. And there are also welded patches that must have been applied from another time before this particular collapse took place. The tan or gray colored scale piled up at the bottom and still clinging to the walls just seems to be a mineral deposit, probably lime but no laboratory determination, the scale along with the rust stains should clean off but I haven't tried yet. I am willing to do whatever it takes to help one realize what they are dealing with here so please feel free to send any questions. Stainless Steel tank with lid. Seal is good as shown it looks the same all the way around. Looks like 316 stainless. Can only be pressured to 15 pds or less. Large 4' valve on the bottom as shown. Magnet sticks only to lid ring slightly as if there are rivets or something. Weighs 840 pounds. Once had a rubber in it as there is some that remains. The bigger tank is around 17 gallons.This would be perfecr for making a homemade still. You can cut the top off of the tank and removed the smaller tank if needed. 650 gallon stainless steel dimple jacket mix tank
650 gallon stainless steel dimple jacket mix tank measures 61” in diameter X 53” high on the straight side with a 6” deep dish bottom that has a 2” sanitary drain fitting. Tank top is bolted on one side. Has a continuous piano hinge with an opening lid on the opposite side. Tank is supported with four 2” stainless steel pipe legs that elevate the bottom side approximately 24” up from grade. Each leg has a 2” threaded stainless steel flange for leveling tank as needed. Manufactured by the Will Flow Corp in 1964 with a manufactures serial# 8146 and a National Board# 217. Jacket is rated for 150 PSI at 400 degrees F. The tank was filled with water and the jacket was pressure tested to 150 PSI to check for integrity and for leaks which none were found. Tank currently has a LIGHTNIN adjustable pitch mixer attached to it with a.33 HP 115/230 volt ... more1750 RPM motor that is reduced to 350 RPM on the output shaft. The stainless steel mixer shaft is ¾” X 56” long with dual 9” diameter 3 bladed foil type stainless steel blades.
