Uniblitz Uni-Stable VS14S1W1 Laser Shutter with 14 mm (0.55 inch) aperture
UniBlitz eletric shutter for laser and laser safety. The aperture is 14mm(0.55 inch) Tested the shutter with a UniBlitz 100-2B shutter controller(which is NOT included in the sale) and it opens and closes nicely without sticking or jamming as shown in the pictures. One side of the shutter is black and the other side is shining. The laser beam should come in from the black side. You can control it using a DC power source of your own. The connection is shown in the last picture. It is normally closed without voltage applied and opens at about 8 volts. Once it is open it stays open at lower voltages as low as about 4 volts(holding voltage) The polarity of the DC voltage does not matter. The shutter is actuated by an electromagnet coil inside it. The connector has 8 pins. Pins A and B are for the coil(has about 12 Ohm resistance across these ... moretwo pins) Pin H is for the case ground, and the other pins are for an optocoupler that reports the open/closed status of the shutter. If you want to control the shutter with your own circuits you can easily trace each color coded wires to the pins of the connector. The frame of the shutter has 7 mounting holes for 4-40 screws.
