This auction is for a Gretsch 14" snare drum rim in very good condition. Just some minor to moderate signs of use and wear. The chrome still holds a good shine. The rim is die-cast with thinner top section. Almost looks like a stick chopper instead of a stick saver rim. The rim is off a 8 lug 4157 model Gretsch snare or can be used on a 14x14 floor tom. This is a spectacular piece. A beautiful looking and sounding drum. This is a rare 1960's vintage Niles, IL 14x14 floor tom. The black diamond pearl finish is in wonderful shape with no detectable fading. No problems along the seam or along the top and bottom bearing edges. The chrome is in excellent condition. The heads are(almost) new Evans G2 coated(batter) and G1 clear(reso) Original everything except I did buy a stick saver hoop for the bottom, as it had no bottom hoop/head when I got it. My research says that Ludwig used the same exact shell for Classic& Standard series drums. The bearing edges on this drum were re-cut in 2011 by Precision Drum in upstate NY and it just sounds killer. They do it right. And you can hear it. Absolutely even tone all the way around the head. I also had them re-cover it in used vintage white marine pearl. as you can see it is discolored in spots. It's the real white marine. This auction is for a 1967 14x14 Camco Champagne sparkle floor tom in excellent condition. The chrome is perfect and the wrap is also perfect. No fade just like new. The original special Camco COB rims, leg mounts, and legs are in great condition. When I got my champagne Camco set in 1964, a couple years of years later I decided to add the 14, nice drum. When set up in my room it added to my set up, but I went on jobs, it usually stayed home. I decided to sell it because I know someone needs it and it is part of my clean out and get ready to move. For your consideration is a beautiful player's Ludwig floor tom in great condition with blue/silver duco paint over a 3-ply re-ring shell with white painted interior. 521xxx Ludwig keystone badge in excellent shape. This drum is all-original with chrome lugs. Tension rods, and hoops in good shape, 3 original Club Date floor tom leg brackets, and 3 original legs that have some chrome loss and surface rust. Original baseball bat muffler is in-place and functional. The shell of this drum is in great shape with strong lacquer that matches other blue/silver duco drums quite well. The paint has some surface checkering and some stronger cracking near the leg brackets and around badge hole. But shows strong and is not missing in any areas. 1970’s Majestic Semi-Pro 14x14 Floor Tom Drum- Used- Free Shipping in the USA! Check out this vintage Japanese floor tom! All-original(with replaced heads) This floor tom is in great shape and ready to rock! The shell is still very good. Likely to be luan wood in what appears to be a 6-ply configuration. There is a bit of an issue happening with the innermost ply; some of the wood has loosened and chipped away just a bit at the seam, particularly around a couple of lug screws. This does not represent ply separation elsewhere in the shell, but could simply be a sign of over-tightening of those screws or some other flaw from the manufacturer. Again, this issue is only in one spot on the innermost ply, and you can see the pictures below for a visual example. The damage does not appear to be caused by anything post-manufacture like water damage ... moreor heat warping. The bearing edges are in very good shape. A little rough to the touch, but not due to damage or age, that appears to be how the drum was manufactured and sold. The shiny, marble-blue wrap is in great shape and looks very sharp. There is just a little bit of separation of the wrap near the top of the tom, which is mostly covered up when the hoop is installed. The hoops, hardware, tom legs, mounts, and muffler are believed to be all-original and are all in fully functional shape. The Majestic badge is located around the vent grommet and is tight, but is lifted up a bit at the top. The interior of the drum is stamped“6465” When the tom legs are attached. Two of them fit up against and come in contact with the bottom hoop, while one is properly spaced a bit the hoop. We cannot detect anything that would have caused this to become the case post-manufacturing, and there are ways this could be alleviated. The shell design leads us to believe this is a 1970’s era Majestic. Good quality. Affordable drums when they came out, the Majestic Semi-Pro drum line is still very cool and playable today.
