Vintage Antique J Sklar Medical Microscope Light
For your consideration today is a medical light. Probably from the early 1900's. It consists of a black metal case measuring 3 1/3" high x 2" wide x 2" deep with a light bulb in it. The front flips up to reveal the light, when the top is flipped down, the cover has a circular opening with a blue film over it, so that when lit it will cast a blue light. I believe that this is a microscope light. This came from an estate. The owners father was a Dr in Western Massachusetts from the 1930's approximately on until retirement. Blank slides& small slide covers& chemicals and 2 boxes of prepared slides for viewing, one is of starch grains and the other is of vegetable textile fibers. Some fluid in the slide making kit appears dried up but is likely replaceable. Box is in good condition except for a bit of scratching. Especially around the hook, closing mechanism. This is a C.O.C. microscope. 100X-750X in it's original case with slides and other accessories. I don't know if it works. But it appears to run on batteries. I think there may be a piece missing from the top-so this is probably best used for decoration. The black wood case is a bit beaten up-so look at the photos carefully. The inside of the case seems to be red flocked styrofoam. It is very lightweight. The microscope itself is heavy and made of solid metal. This was an estate sale find-so I don't know how old it is. Would look really cute in a kids room with other"science" decorations

Vintage Gilbert No. 20 Chemistry Microscope Set, 1938 Gilbert Microscope
You are bidding on a vintage Gilbert Microscope set from 1938. This set is not 100% complete. But it's probably about 80% or better. The box is in pretty good shape with a few marks on the outside from being moved around for almost 70 years. decal on front is in pretty good shape. Handle is good. Inside of box could use some repairs. There is a handle that's fallen off of the one drawer. But the handle is still there. There are also a few other small holders and stapes that are missing or need replacement. Microscope is complete. But mirror need to be tightened. Lots of stuff in this lot such as elements. Lights, specimens, jars, etc. Also included is the original book for the set. Very cool piece. Ask questions. Check out my other listings. Thanks for looking.

It comes with a mirror and battery operated lighyt as well. Included in the set are two blank slides and two prepared slides, tweezers, pick, cover slides, blank labels, extra light bulb, eyepiece, viewer screen, a empty vile of gum media.The microscope has been used but, the scope is in great condition. There is no instruction booklet. Would make a great starter set. Box is complete but, has tape on one end and cuts in the palstic window on front.
