Plinius SA-100 MkIII Stereo Power Amplifier
I bought this new from a dealer in Los Angeles 1998. Used it to drive Magnepan 3.5Rs for about 4 years, it has sat on a shelf ever since. It is in mint or close to mint condition. It works flawlessly as far as I can tell. Color: Black 110V. Includes amplifier and 110V power cord. Manual is available online below. It has a 230V label on the back as I had it with me in New Zealand 1999-2002 where a dealer re-wired it for 230V. However as you can see in the instruction manual below is is user configurable. Right now it is 110V. I have the original box and packing material. The box looks pretty tired but is still strong and I would fully reinforce for shipping. Photos coming. Cost of shipping to be paid by buyer is estimated using UPS to any location in the Continental US.

You are bidding on a Used Adcom GFA 555-II Power Amplifier and Adcom GSP-560 Surround Sound Processor. Both units have been tested and they do work. The ADCOM GFA-555 II is among the world's greatest audio power amplifiers of all time. It was designed by the legendary Nelson Pass(interview. Chat room) whose amplifiers today sell new for five figure price tags. Considering that you can get a used GFA-555 II like this one for about $350, I doubt there's a better bargain for high-end amplification. Its performance is exemplary; I haven't heard any other amplifier surpass it today. While only rated for 200 watts per channel into 8 Ω, this 20-year old veteran easily put out 260 watts from each channel simultaneously at only 0.007% THD into 8 Ω. If a Japanese brand was marketing this, they'd rate it as 350W per channel into 6 Ω ... moreat 0.7% THD, or call it a"700 W amplifier. ADCOM actually rates it as able to drive 2 Ω loads, and rates it for 850 watts at 0.09% THD into 4 ohms in bridged mono! I'm sure the Japanese could inflate this to over a kilowatt. Up for auction is a nice Forte Model 3 power amplifier. Amp is is great working condition and is great cosmetically as well. The Model 3 is 200w/ch Class AB. Produced from 1988-91 at retail price of $1,100. The Forte Audio(Threshold) Model 3 is a solid-state, dual-mono 2-channel amplifier. It was designed while Nelson Pass was in his last years at Threshold. The later Forte models, such as the 4A, were not Pass designs. The Model 3 is very similar to the Model 1A, which is a 50 wpc Pure Class A design. This is definitely a quality addition to anyone's system. Has a sweet, warm sound. Has been gentle used with little hours. Almost completely used for jazz listening, but never at a high volume. There are a couple extremely small scratches(less than a hair in diameter) on top of amp that the camera flash REALLY exaggerates. It takes up close ... morelook to see these tiny blimishes. I overpaid for this this when i bought it- it was in awful shape and dirty. I put time. Love, afew bux,and set of Carvin gt12 speakers into it and played with it for weeks and weeks to make sure it didnt have anything wrong with it.
