I have a 1972 Katone AM transistor radio for sale. Radio is in good condition. I believe the case of made of leather but I could be wrong, it is shinny and stiching is also good. Front panel is also good with only minor scratches, please see pictures for condition and materials. I tested the radio and it does work but doesn't have a lot of volume but was loud enough to listen to with no issues. Japan, and was available for purchase in 1972 via Japanese multinational conglomerate Sony under the name TV-750. I have turned on to test to see if it still works. I do get mostly static on the screen. I am a little out of town. So I am not receiving any stations. I am getting sound from the speakers from the radio. All units came equipped with the US standard. RARE Vintage LAYFAYETTE AC-DC Portable BAKELITE RADIO c1940's -4 tubes
I've shown twelve pictures of this great item which I am selling for a relative. An early model Layfayette portable AC-DC tube radio with a bakelite cabinet. It measures roughly 9" high by 5" wide and 4" deep. The old rubber handle is in good shape. There's cover plug in the back which once removes allows you to pull the power cord through. And the connections for the battery are compete and in good condition. It is a tube radio that does a very good job producing static so I have to assume that the antanae needs to be looked at. This is just an opinion, I don't work with radios. The cabinet has a repaired corner crack, looks like someone just varnished it, see the last picture. The cabinet is also slightly warped on the side which makes for a tight fit. The front door has a very strong warp to it and is almost ... moreimpossible to snap shut(see second and third last pictures) I don't know if this can be heated to reshape. this is a porttable radio from Montgomery Ward that can be powered by a battery or a regular household outlet. i'm not sure what year this was made. I would guess 1940s or 1950s. it was my grandfather's and has been sitting in my father's attic for many years. it does not work when plugged in, but aside from not having a battery, it seems very complete. i know very little about old radios, but if you have any questions i will make every effort to give you an answer. This Vintage Sony Cassette player has been tested and works great. This unit does not include the AC cord but it runs just fine on Batteries. There is one condition issue. The door for the tape player has two hinges and one of them has come loose so when you press the eject button you have to pull on the door to get it to open. Then. After inserting a tape, you have to lift up on the door to shut it. This may be able to be fixed I just did not take it apart to repair it. When the door is shut the tape player plays tapes fine. The cosmetic condition is very good. Battery compartment is perfect and free of corrosion. The antenna is in perfect shape.

A ready to enjoy Sobynica vintage 8-Track player.Red in color please see pics for cosmetic condition. The unit plays tapes pretty well. I've revitalized the belt, so it may seem to drag in places, but overall it plays well. It takes 6 C batteries. i will also be adding the grateful dead 8 track as seen in pictures The battery compartment is corrosion-free and clean. This is a piece of'70s history that really is worth enjoying. Something about hearing"one more saturday night" playing from an old tape. On that machine, really takes me back.
