RARE 1933 Antique 1-Cent Gas Pump Lighter Fluid Dispenser Vending Machine by Van Lite. These dispensers are pretty hard to find and this is a good example of one of them. It is missing a small glass that is at the top of the dispenser as pictured. Has a working original lock and key. The glass cylinder(which is plastic) has a small stress crack that I have shown in the pictures. The base is not the same material as the rest of the dispenser and it is made of brass.very heavy and it fits fine. I don't know if this or any of the lighter fluid dispenser actually vend fluid. Antique Vintage 1920's Schermack 5c 10c Postage Stamp Vending Machine Sign~Works
Up for auction with no reserve is an antique 1920's vending machine. The machine is made of metal with glass windows. The top and back glass windows are missing. There is some damage to the plated finish. It has two coin slots. One for a nickel and the other for a dime. Both cranks work when a coin is inserted. I am not sure if it still vends properly as it is empty. I am selling it as is. It measures about 13" in height by 11 1/2" in width by 7 1/2" in depth. It is set up to vend 25 cents(1 quarter) in each slider mechanism. They are Greenwald mechanisms. Machine measures 17 inches tall. 9.5 inches width, and 5.5 inches depth. Antique Peanut/Candy Sanitary Vended In A Bag Vending Machine 1 Cent Penny
Here's a nice coin-op vendor you don't see to often. It's a bulk vending machine made by the O.D. Jennings Co. of Chicago in 1934. The peanuts or candy were dispensed inside a glassine bag. So they called it"Sanitary" since the customers hands never touch the treat. The coin mechanism still works with a penny. As you can see in the pictures there is paint loss, scratches, surface rust and some light corrosion in spots. Only one of the glass globe supports is left. The machine is missing it's glass globe, the top, and the metal shroud that fits between the globe and body. There is no key for the lock. Vintage Antique Penny One Cent Vending Machine w Stand 4 Columns Candy Nuts
Antique vintage vending machine with 4 columns/ has a bit of an Art Deco flair. One cent penny machine. Study photos carefully for best description. It is four separate penny vending sections. The only part that is missing is the key. When machine is disassembled it has all original sections as far as I can tell. The glass on some of the front sections(very thick. Looks original) has some chips on the edges and there is some paint wear as shown. The outer frame is bent in some spots as shown in the photo, but overall needs a good cleaning and reconditioned as you see fit, or use for a decorative piece for a home, bar or restaurant. Three of the four knobs seem to be working fine. The spring on the other one appears to not be functional when turning. Antique Columbus Penny Peanut (possibly Gumball) Vending Machine Vintage
Beautiful vintage penny peanut(could possibly be used for gumballs or other candy) machine by Columbus. Exceptional condition for its age. I have owned this machine for at least 45 years as it was a gift to me when I was a teen. I briefly had peanuts in it but cleaned it out over 40 years ago and have had it on display in my home since. I love the round glass globe which is very thick and has no cracks or chips. It still has the rubber-like gaskets that protect the globe from the metal base and lid. The flap over the chute has a 5 pointed star which is totally cool. This machine still works but the mechanism does require a little jiggling to start. This particular model was built to be a footed tabletop model. Therefore. It does not have any stand and does not require one. The base has rubber feet which lifts it up and serves to protect any ... moresurface you may place it on. Please note: this may not be original paint because it is in such good condition. This is the first 5 cent machine I have seen, around, so it is a hard to find item. Originally used in the old movie houses, and along boardwalks. This one does not have the money collector inside, or the capability of dispensing the popcorn, but it could be made to function with some parts. The measurements of the machine is 38 3/4" tall, by 16" square base, and the glass panels are 22" x 10" each. The light inside was used to keep the popcorn warm. An Antique 1940's-1950's Popcorn 10 Cent Vending Machine in"as found" original condition. This is a floor model unit that stands about 4' 11" high and 16" on the side dimensions. It is coin operated and will dispense warm popcorn for a dime. It only warms popcorn and doesn't pop it. The access lid on the top of the dome is metal and it has a key lock but the key we have does not open it. The dome lid is a heavy clear plastic and shows some minor and a few heavier scratches and some loss. There is metal rod with a yellow light on the inside. When we plugged it in. It didn't light up. There is a toggle switch on the back that snaps. There is a locking side panel that opens to reveal the mechanism inside. We do have the locking key that works. This is a great old vending machine. It measures 11 3/4" high x 7" wide x 5 3/4" deep. It is in good condition with the exception of a few piece of veneer that are missing along the edges in the back. I think it was used to dispense peanuts. I did put a penny in. And the mechanism did turn. I don't have the key to open the machine. Also, it looks as though someone messed around with the lock, maybe to get it open(see photos) There are some red marks on one side of the plastic window on the side. Antique Schermack Double 4 Cent Postage Stamp Vending Machine Model P **Rare**
Up for bid is an Antique Schermack Double 4 Cent Postage Stamp Vending Machine Model P! Here is some info I found on the Smithsonian Postal Museum site; Joseph Schermack is generally credited with producing the first practical stamp vending machine. In 1910 he introduced a“profit-sharing” model where he sold two two-cent stamps or four one-cent stamps for a nickel. And in 1926 he formed the Sanitary Postage Service Corporation. Labeling the machine as a vendor of“sanitary stamps” differentiated the machine from competitors while attracting a clientele that feared the spread of germs. So using this information. Plus the cost of the stamp, 4 cents) one could estimate the age of this machine. Possibly! It has no keys. One side has a tag that says"Empty" that you put in the coin slot to inform customers it is out of stamps. The other side does not have this tag. The coin boxes are in place on both machines. The counters register stamps sold, they are as follows; 4547 and 3689. The clear covers are in pretty good shape with minimal cracking at the bottom where they are fastened to the base. Clearing out my storage unit of machines and up for auction is this beautifully restored Victor"V" 1 cent gumball vending machine made by the Victor Vending Corp. circa 1941 out of Chicago. IL. This is an absolute gorgeous looking and perfect working machine. All original parts. Metal and glass. Sand-blasted and restored in a scratch-resistant powdercoated red. All chrome accents have been nicely polished to a shiny finish. Coin mechanism is cast iron with a near perfect porcelain finish. Glass globe is in great original condition with normal scratches and yellowing from the years on service. This has 4 brand new rubber feet on bottom to display without scratching as seen in the last picture. Comes with the original working Victor and original Victor embossed VC112 key. Antique Vintage Glass Lamp Shade Globe Vending Machine Globe? Embossed w/ dogs!
Here is a most unusual glass globe or lamp shade or vending machine globe? It is very unique and I do not recall ever seeing anything quite like it. First impression is a lamp shade with a finial securing the top. However. It has some unusual“locking tabs” on the bottom which would seem to function on a vending machine set-up. It is also“eared” It would not seem to a light globe as this would put the embossed scene upside down. The scene is very cool-there is a man releasing a pair of hunting dogs on one side and on the other side the two dogs are chasing down an antelope or gazelle. The man, dogs, and antelope are all VERY skinny! The outside diameter of the opening is 5” It is about 9” tall or so. It is about 24” around the center. The only defect I could find is a chip on the inside of the retaining lip. Should not show or affect functionality. ... morePlease see the pictures. Ohio. it is yellow and black on aluminum. The company made agricultural machines(Vac-A-Way Seed Cleaner) and vending machine. They also produced popular toys. Pooling the efforts of Harry and his father, J.W. Hance. Initially, the company made parts for other manufacturing businesses.
