All of the knobs and the dials appears to move as they should and the unit has no visible damages. The unit measures 11 1/4 in. X 5 1/2 in. and stands about 8 1/2 in. tall including the handle. Heathkit Signal Tracer Model IT-12 in Great Condition! IT-5283 t-4
Here is a great looking IT-12 Signal Tracer from my personal test bench. The only reason that I am selling is that I no longer service electronic equipment due to my eye site and that I am down sizing into a smaller home. This is a great tool for someone working on radio receivers or audio amplifiers as it enables you to located the problem very quickly. Not only does it work great. It looks great. I have tested the tubes with my military TV-7 tube tester and they have plenty of life life. Even the"eye" tube is still bright as you can see in the pictures. The Conar 230 uses an untuned front end(in the probe) followed by two stages of TRF followed by a diode detector and 2 stages of audio. The TRF covers from 170 KHz to 1500 KHz in two ranges. Those frequencies include commonly used IF frequencies in AM and shortwave radios as well as much of the AM broadcast band. Here's a very nice example of this Heathkit signal tracer. You rarely see one that looks this nice. no cracks or damage to the cabinet. You see a little brown spot on the lower front edge that is some sort of paint drop near as I can tell. But I didn't want to try to get it off for fear of damaging the plastic. DESCRIPTION Here is a very nice EICO 147 A Signal Tracer. It comes with the audio probe. But I don't have the RF probe for it. Also included is a copy of the manual. Switches, knobs and speaker are all very good. Output transformer works fine and can be used to test a tube amp's output stage. Wattmeter works and is moderately accurate above 40W. This is a fine example of vintage test equipment that you can use in your shop. This signal tracer uses the following vacuum tubes: 6X4. 12AX7& 6AQ5. All of the tubes test very strong with no shorts. I measured the B+ supply at 330V and everything looks like it's working.The eye tube doesn't have the greatest contrast, but is readily readable. This 147 A is in overall good to very good condition- see pictures. There is one tiny chip on the red AF probe jack. Vintage Signal Tracer, model CA 10 with unusual wooden probe
Here is an odd sort of signal tracer of unknown age and manufacture. Showing only as model CA 10. It features a wooden probe, intended, I assume, to reduce shock potential and minimize spurious noise from the user's hand, as well as headphone and neon bulb monitoring of the signal. It's housed in a fine box with a good cover, solid hinges, and a working front latch. The tracer measures about 6.5" W x 4" H x 6" D and weighs about 2 lbs. unpacked. It will be safely packed and quickly sent by FedEx Ground. I charge only the expected shipping cost with insurance. Heathkit Model T-4 Signal Tracer very bright eye tube
This auction is for a very nice Heathkit Model T-4"visual and aural" RF and Audio signal tracer. The probe has a switch that connects a diode detector for checking RF. I can hear a number of broadcast stations when I touch my finger to the probe tip(you need a shunt RF choke or resistor like a 47K to block the AC hum for this test) This has a very high gain amplifier so that you trace a signal in a radio from the antenna all the way to the speaker. This is really useful for checking microphones even low-Z dynamics. This also has terminals for checking by substitution of the audio output transformer and speaker. Here is a working vintage Precision Deluxe Signal Tracer. Model 251. This unit works with standard 110V AC. This signal tracer has a vacuum tube installed in the probe handle. The probe handle has a alligator clip adapter that slides on a banana type male end attached to the end of the probe. All tubes have been checked and are in good condition.
