Sweet Asian old photo album which was most likely made in Japan. This is lacquered wood. And has a metallic blue finish. It has 6 cute birds on the cover. There are some signs of aging-there are chips in the lacquer, a few dots of missing finish on the front, some of the tissue paper between the black papers are creased, and some of the black papers have a bit of creasing on the bottom. The heavyweight black paper looks handmade, and has some silver flakes in it. The paper measures about 8" x 6.5" and the book about 10" x 7" There are 12 pages. Not in perfect shape, but it has not been used. Has a slight old paper smell, but not of mildew. A very nice special piece. Thank you for looking and enjoy my shop! This is a beautiful example of an early 1950's silicone tissue dispenser. It is made by the Silicone Paper Company of America. Inc. These were often found in optometrists offices, factories or labs to facilitate the cleaning of safety or prescription eyeware. This dispenser includes the tissue weight which is often missing in other examples. There is some minor brush marks and paint while it was installed on the wall. It has no rust. And the original label is pristine. The key is missing but can be opened with a flat blade screwdriver. I haven't seen one like this for its condition. Vintage Jadite Bath Towel and Toilet Tissue Paper Holders Bathroom
Up for auction is a jadite bathroom set consisting of a toilet tissue holder and two towel bars. The toilet tissue holder consists of two ceramic holders and a wooden roll. There is some paint wear to the roll and a chip to the front edge of one of the holders. Each of the two towel bar sets consists of two ceramic holders and one jadite glass rod. And measure approximately 18 inches long. There are some small chips to the reduced ends which insert into the ceramic holders, as well as a few small chips to the edges of the thicker portion of the rods. There is also some very slight chipping on the ceramic holders of the towel bars around the holes where screws are inserted to attach the holders to a wall. No attaching hardware is included.
