Wilardy is mostly known for their lucite clutch purses but they did make these vanity sets as well. The rims have lost their chrome like shine but that us minor compared to the brilliance of the prism like lucite. Overall condition is very nice. Small stress fracture on one end of tissue box but it is barely noticeable unless you are really trying to look for it, I included a picture. Hinge on tissue box is stamped WILARDY. This is a tissue holder from the 1950's in excellent condition. It may be mounted on the wall or sit flat. This was an estate sale find. The home was an upscale Mid Century Modern home. On each side of the master bed were these tissue boxes(sale is for one but I have two) hung on the wall near the bed. Still there after all these years. The tissue box is in excellent condition with minimal light scratches. It looks very nice and may be used anywhere, hung or sitting. The lucite box measures 11 1/2" long, 5 3/4" wide and 2 1/2" tall. The end slips off to insert the tissues. If you have questions, please feel free to ask. If you win the bid and are interested in both boxes. Aprons were very common and were worn into the early depression years, as they not only helped extend the life of a dress, but could also be made into an evening pre-dinner accessory. The woman on the right is holding a feather duster in one hand and a vase in the other. Both models are wearing head scarves. And heels! The pattern company name is not on the envelope. The edges are perforated and would have been sealed for mailing. And I assume the name appeared on that section, now lost. The paper is brown with age and the edges are torn and creased. Instructions and diagrams are on the inside and back page- and very tiny! I do not know if all the pattern pieces are included. They must be matched ... moreto the pieces in the cutting layout.
