There is a dimple in the handle right where you thumb would go- I included two pictures of that. Close-up of the stopper so you can see the tiny micro nick in the side and the bubble(larger) which is inside the stopper- stopper is hand numbered 23. Star cut on the bottom. Handle and spout in sterling are so lovely in their simplicity- marked as shown with a crescent moon. Crown 800 and perhaps a unicorn or horse. I think this is the mark for Gebruder Kuhn. Fully hallmarked for 1911. This is a superb sugar shaker and milk jug in the form of Mr Toby/ Toby jugs. Their bodies are superbly chased with Mr Toby's face and hair. His hands holding the sides of his coat. Both pieces have a wide flared top rim. The milk jug with pouring spout and they stand on flat bases. The sugar shaker has a beautifully pierced lid with spiral fluted urn finial. The milk jug is 3 inches/ 76 mm wide and 2-7/8 inches/ 74 mm high. The sugar shaker is 3 inches/ 76 mm wide and 3-5/8 inches/ 91 mm high. They weigh 117 grams. Both pieces have clear and matching hallmarks- lion passant. A Russian silver heavy gauge cream jug of angular form& gilt interior. Measuring 3" tall& 2.5" base diameter. It weighs 150gms. In lovely condition it is engraved with the initals PS. On the base is the mark 84, for the number of zolotniks per Russian pound of alloy, which is equivalent to 0.875 standard of silver. Also on the base is a reversed N*E 1880. The N*E, is the mark representing the years 1870 to 1891. I believe these are marks for Petrograd. The makers mark is also very clear, in the Russian alphabet, but is unknown to me.If you recognise it,please let me know.

This Wallace sterling-silver pitcher is model 201. 4½ pints. It weighs about 640 grams(22.57 ounces) and is almost 9” tall. It does not have any personalized engravings; in my opinion monograms are undesirable unless you happen to have the same initials. It is in very good shape. The surface has some almost imperceptible scratches and an indentation that is barely noticeable. And these signs of use are so slight that I could not capture them in photographs. Wallace Silversmiths, now owned by Lifetime Brands, was established in 1833. This model of pitcher is no longer produced. It is solid sterling without being“weighted” by other metals. The Art Nouveau Wallace Sterling Silver pattern"Eton" was issued in 1902 and has since been discontinued. This berry spoon is 9" long. The bowl measures 2 7/8" at the widest part. Total silver weight is 3 troy oz. The spoon looks and feels very substantial. The gold wash of the bowl is rubbed off on the raised areas of the design featuring an iris The back side of the bowl has surface scratches which is to be expected with an antique piece of flatware that had been used. Danish Sterling Silver Sugar or Spice Caster Hallmarked 7 7/8” c1766 Presented is a large Rococo chased solid silver spice or sugar caster with Maker’s marks Dated 1766. This is a finely crafted and useful item. The lid with a flower finial attaches with a system usually called Bayonet; a peg that slides into slots. It has no monogram and rest on a pedestal base. This shaker is hallmarked with maker’s mark IL for Jorgen Nielsen Lind. Assayers mark Fabricius and marks for silver made in Denmark 1766 as well as a zodiac mark that indicates the month it was made. I have added a picture of my research into these marks in the pictures above. Danish silver made in this period is 826 fine silver; American standard sterling silver is 925. Normal 0 Fresh from a fabulous multi-generation Japanese American estate comes this stunning hand cut glass fan vase insert with Sterling silver base that we igh s 215 grams. The opening diameter of the base is 2 3/4" and the b ottom is 4 5/8" Together it's 7 5/8" tall and 7 1/8" at the widest. It's marked Sterling 2889 136 with a Y with a ball on each point. On the other side is a partial artist signature WIN over w hich there is a 25(I assume part of 925) which stylistically looks like the mark of Chicago Arts& Crafts silversmith James Winn. Who used this mark from the late 19th century into the early 20th. The fluted base is decorated with a stamped floral and garland design, the impression of which can be seen on the inside. The glass insert is beautifully and deeply hand cut with the flower leaves having ... morean Intaglio cut. It's in excellent condition and holds 2 dozen roses. It's greatly in need of a polish. It was so black when I purchased it. I thought it was plated. I polished it enough to use it at a dinner party and got lots of oohs and ahs. It makes a stunning centerpiece. If it doesn't make my opening bid. I'll keep it! The previous 82 year old owner was a 1953 Yale graduate(and multi-degreed Yale professor) whose physician father also graduated from Yale in 1929. Included in this wonderful estate was a large suitcase filled with three generations of kimonos that have been packed away since 1964. Here is a pretty antique thimble bucket holder for a chatelaine. It is a silver pot metal in repousse floral design. Inside is lined in dark blue velvet. It measures 1" x 5/8" w/ a 3/4" opening.
