The metal box was made by the"Hamiiton Metal Products Co. Made In Hamilton, Ohio U.S.A. The box is painted a dark, vintage green with U.S. FOREST SERVICE stenciled across the upper edge. The box measures: 9 1/2" w x 6 1/2" d x 3 3/4" t. Included are the typical scissors, tweezers. The one inch square bottles contain: Oil of Cloves. Sp rit of Ammonia. Can't make out contents, Boric Acid, Cascara Pills, Tincture of Merthiolate, round tin of Antiseptic First-Aid Dressing and Surgical Powder(made by Sharp& Dohme) and a relatively recent glass bottle of insect repellent. The first five bottles are labeled for the US Forest Service Department of Agriculture. Region 1. Region 1 includes a very eastern sliver of Washington state, all of Idaho and Montana. Region 1 gained it's greatest notoriety in 1910 when sixty to ... moreseventy mile per hour winds came inland through Bandon. OR, mov ing no rth-east towards Canada. An earlier series of lighting strikes along the northern portion of the Cour de Lene National forest where previous strikes smoldered were hit by these hot. Fierce winds. WW II 1942 Cartridge Belt M1936 Musette Bag Canteen First Aid Pouch Mess Kit Lot
Lot of World War Two field equipment. Items and detailed condition of each: 1. M1923 Cartridge belt. Early war: Hinson Mfg. Co. Jan. 1942. Condition: Solid. Strong webbing. Some corrosion to grommets, All"Klickit" snaps work, but some are fairly difficult to un-snap, as a result some of the pockets are just starting to see the very beginnings of fraying at the base of the"Klickit" posts. On the front left-side pocket the'Klickit post has alrerady torn from the fabric(see photo) This can easily be repaired by sewing-in from the inside of the pocket another post attached to a piece of period webbing. Therefore; I have included in this package a cut-out webbing section and attached"Klicit" post from a WWII canteen. This method works great in facilitating these repairs. If the belt is to be used, then something ... morewill have to be done to facilitate the easy un-snapping of the snaps, even then care will need to be taken when working the pocket flaps. Two pocket flaps had a portion of the webbing chewed away. I replaced with military webbing- only this patch material is in OD 7 color(see photo) Belt is dirty. 2. M1936 Field"Musette" Bag. Langdon Tent and Awning Co. 1943. Name: Pearson with serial number stamed on inside of flap and hand written on the outside of the flap. Condition: Solid and complete. Dirty with a couple of small rust stains. Most metal parts have rust. 3. M1936 Field"Musette" Bag Shoulder strap. Condition: Solid. Complete, stains, manufacture/date faded. 4. Canteen cover. J.Q.M.D. 1942. Condition: Felt in very good shape. Canvas is dirty and stained. Hanger webbing on the back is stained with rust and grease. Vietnam Era Jungle 1st Aid Kit
Here is a very nice original early Vietnam era jungle 1st aid kit. The pouch itself is dated 1944. And the 1st aid supplies/contents are early to mid-war dated/coded. The pouch is in excellent condition for its age, and most of the contents are a well. The kit is used. But it is in great shape for its age. And this would be a perfect addition to help round out an early Vietnam era field gear display. Any questions feel free to ask. And please take a look at my other auctions. Up for bid 1963 First Aid Kit Aeronautic U.S. its in great condition little dirty but functional. The contents are orginial and pictured in the above photo's.
