It is in very nice condition with slight age and use marks to the outside. The handle and lower body seem to be cast iron or similar cast metal so it is relatively hefty for it's size. It is about 7 inches long, 3.25 inches in diameter at the lid and about 2 inches deep. The company was in business from the 1880 to about the time of WW II and our guess is this would fall somewhere in the early 1900's as far as age goes. That's about it. Up for auction a rather Nice 1920-1930 THOS. E. WILSON& CO. No.H545 NON LEVEL-WIND JEWELED CASTING'TRADE' REEL(BUILT BY THE MONTAGUE CITY ROD CO. WITH THE SCARCE ORIGINAL BOX. Built as a Trade reel by the Montague City Rod Co. for Thos. E. Wilson& Co. of Chicago. The forerunner to our modern-day Wilson Sporting Goods Co. The company didn't change its name to Wison Sporting Goods until 1931, so it's safe to say this reel was built from around 1920 to 1930. Thos. E. Wilson-marked reels show up from time to time but the boxes, for whatever reasons, are seldom seen. Faceplate is boldly stamped with the"Thos. E. Wilson& Co. Chicago U.S.A. logo, while under the foot carries the"60" yardage mark. A fairly mid to higher-grade example from Montague and comes equipped with strong tailplate-mounted clicker, ... moreequally strong faceplate-mounted drag switch, perfect jeweled oil caps, knurling throughout and a counterbalanced handle with what appears to be a pyralin grip. Reel is in solid Fine condition, showing moderate wear and some brassing, but still displaying nicely. Works perfectly, running as smooth and quiet as the day it was built. Put up in the scarce original box, which is also in about Fine condition, with no damage or repairs. Very solid and serviceable, with a nearly complete front label that also carries the earlier Thos. This reel is pristine! This reel was sold buy Sears in 1960's. It is basically brand new. There has never been line on it. I doubt it has been out of the box more than a handful of times. The box is in very good condition, there is some tape on the inner box and at one point the was tape holding the box closed(probably from the factory) Also included is the original warranty card and instructions. Antique Winchester 5545 Fishing Casting Rod 3 Piece
The cork handle is solid with some dings. The silver metal handle area parts have tarnish or oxidation that looks like it will polish off bright, the tip glass eye is chipped and I don't believe the two center eyes had glass inserts and the eyes are bent or out of shape. This early Winchester rod is in overall pretty decent solid condition with general wear.

Here is a very nice collectable new unused in original box Master Fishing Tackle Corporation No. 775 Spinning Fishing Reel made in Japan with all original paperwork. Manual& instructions for rod as well as the reel. Master was and maybe still is a division of Rodac Corporation manufacturers of precision tools in Carson, California. I have only the reel which has a line capacity of 225 yds. 8 lbs, 200 yds. 10 lbs& 175 yds. of 12 lbs with a gear ratio of 1:4.5. Everything on this reel mechanically and cosmetically perfect, front drag& Anti-Revers operation which is very smooth. Box and papers are in perfect condition for their age. A great collector reel or one to put to good use. Mono line is installed on the reel but I do not know the weight.
