Aside from some slightly warn felt, a few minor marks and a few small silvers or chips of missing walnut veneer the desk is in great shape and it will be a nice addition to any collection. I would rate it an 8.5/10 or better overall. It measures 20" deep, 35" tall and 36" wide. This item is large and heavy therefore it is available for local pickup only. Vintage Restored Pioneer PL-518 Direct Drive Stereo Turntable This auction is for a restored Pioneer PL-518 direct drive auto return turntable. This turntable is a manual start direct drive table with strobe. Automatic return and shut off. Has the 33 and 45 speed selection knob, arm elevation lever, anti skate control and counter weight. There was at least 25 hours of customized restoration work and craftsmanship put into this classic turntable. It is in fantastiic condition and fully tested with all functions working great. The turntable was taken apart and cleaned. The gray vinyl covering was removed and a real red oak wood veneer applied with a red mahogany finish. It looks incredible with all the grain in a continuous pattern. The table measures 17.5"W x 14" L. Features include: Original Pioneer head shell. An Audio Technica ... morePro11E cartridge with a new stylus. The platter has been polished. The dust cover has absolutely no cracks and has been polished clear. Most of these vintage units show cracks or stress fractures near the hinges on the dustcover. This cover does not. The original feet are still in good condition. Comes with the 45 record adapter. Also has the Pioneer Pl-518 Service Manual. This turntable sounds great and looks very elegant and rich- just look at the photos! These speakers have had the crossover capacitors replaced with high grade Dayton Audio caps, which improves the sound noticeably. As you can see from the pictures. The speaker surrounds are in perfect condition. Also within the past year. They have been re-veneered with high grade, wood-grained black ash vinyl veneer from R-Vinyl. They measure 13H x 8.25W x 7.25D I have had these paired with the DL8 speakers that I also have listed. Together they make an awesome setup. In my view.
