This Tannewitz PH band saw was fully restored. It was completely disassembled. All painted parts were taken down to bare metal, primed and top coated with acrylic lacquer. All fasteners and non-painted surfaces were cleaned of rust and grime and brought back to like new condition. The motor was disassembled and the old bearings were replaced with new ones and packed with new grease. New bearings were put into the upper wheel shaft housing and packed with grease. The upper and lower Wright blade guides had new thrust bearings and jaws added. The power cord and old electrical wiring was replaced and the electrical controls updated. Up for sell is a super clean Tannewitz 36" throat band saw I purchased it out of a race shop who had been doing sheet metal on it the saw looks fantastic it's a very heavy built saw unlike most saws today it has bade welder and it is wired for 220v 3 phase the one handle is broke and slightly bent where fork hit wile moving still works fine also you will have to fill the transmission up when you receive because it leaked the oil out wile it was in transport I was told that was normal but for the price you won't find a better deal! Tannewitz 16" Table Saw Fully Restored with Riving Knife
Tannewitz J series 16" table saw. 5hp Direct Drive. Unparalleled power& smoothness compared to a belt drive. 220v/440v 3 phase motor(I run this at my home using a RONK add-a-phase. You can also just run static or rotary phase converter if you don't have 3 phase power) Comes with a SAW-STOP(stops the blade after shutdown rather than coasting to a stop) But I don't have it wired up. Not sure if it works. All wiring was disconnected when I bought saw and I just never got around to figuring out how to wired it correctly. The company that made it is still in business, so I'm sure you can get it working is you want it. This saw has been FULLY restored(not just repainted) less than 2 years ago. I completely disassembled the saw. Stripped to bare metal, cleaned& polished all machined parts and then reassembled. Its a beautiful ... morerestore& and runs absolutely perfect. I completely disassemble and cleaned motor and was going to replace bearings. But that had obviously been recently replace with new SKF bearings that were in perfect shape, so I left them in. Saw is complete except for original fence. It is not missing any parts. It even has the commonly missing gear covers for the tilt mechanism. During rebuild I retrofitted saw with a Riving knife. This is a TRUE riving knife NOT just a splitter. It raises and lowers with the blade and keeps a constant distance from the blade. It can be removed in less than a minute if needed and unlike a splitter. It will not interfere with most normal cutting operations. Absolutely one of the best safety features you can have on a saw, better than a guard in because you won't feel the need to constant remove it like happens with a guard. It will virtually eliminate kickback. Riving knives have been around for decades, but only recently became mandatory on all saw being built now. 36 inch Tannewitz Wood Bandsaw and New Trailer USA Made Band Saw
This bandsaw runs. It has a adjustable angle table top. This bandsaw includes a somewhat rigged motor. The motor was sitting on the ground next to the saw with a home made cover for the belt. Its a 5 hp single phase 220 power supply. The top cover appears to be home made too. Fair condition and runs. Comes with original blade that has been on for several years and a new in box blade bought in 1996. It is currently on a 7.000 lb dual axle trailer. The trailer was new less than a month ago. It hasn't been registered yet! If you want to purchase the trailer AND the saw while its on it, that can be arranged. simply pay the new trailer price. Otherwise, you load it with your equipment. Tannewitz/Oliver Table Saw / Miter Mitre Gauge (#01)
Greetings, I have several miter gauges for sale. They are a mix of Tannewitz and Oliver gauges. Each auction is for the single gauge pictured. This is the one I will refer to as#01 when answering any questions. It is my understanding that some Tannewitz gauges will fit an Oliver saw depending on the head width. Note. There are subtle differences between these gauges that may make them appropriate or inappropriate for your saw. Please take a look at the pictures so you can see the exact condition etc. I do accept returns but you will need to pay for shipping and they all weigh around 15-18 pounds depending on the gauge. Features that may differ between gauges: Bar Length Bar thickness T shaped bar vs flat Pivot pin height(some come to the top of the gauge. While others are only about half way up. One there, none, or no holes at all. Knobs are replacement knobs and some bars are replacement bars. This particular head has some damage to the right hand side but it does not impact function of the gauge except the right hold down rod. Carter Guideall 400 bandsaw guides Yates, Tannewitz, Oliver , Delta, Powermatic
No reserve on this auction. I have listed a set of Carter Guideall 400 bandsaw guides that came off a Yates Y30 bandsaw. When removed. These were funtional, but show signs of use and some noise. Obsessive types may want to go thourgh and rebild everything; if you just want to get your own saw running and make sawdust, these are complete and currently work, but there is some noise. The new price on these is over $650 from Carter; chances are you will get them for MUCH less. They can be seen on a working saw with an appointment. 3/4" mounting posts and right angle bend in photos not included as they are needed for the saw. Ask a lot of questions. Take a good look at the photos, and generally be a well informed consumer. I'll be out of town next weekend, so these will be shipped approx. September 9. Thanks for looking and good luck!
