Condition: Used Location: Piedmont, United States Up for sale in this auction is my C.R. Onsrud Model 24210 Inverted Pin Router. I have been the owner and user of this machine for the last couple of years ... moreso hopefully I can answer any questions? This is a 10hp three-phase machine and it does have the electric motor brake. Which will slow it down to a stop much faster than with no brake, but not"instantly" or anything like that. This has a 1/2" collet in it now and that is all I have needed, I have used a 1/2" to 1/4" collet adapter when needed with no problem, but C.R. Onsrud has any collet you could need. This is an incredible machine that makes so many otherwise extremely difficult operations very easy. There are several videos on youtube as well as at the C.R. Onsrud website that will demonstrate this much better than what I could describe here. This is basically the"big" machine(the 36210) but with a 24" throat rather than the 36" throat. They talk quite a lot in their videos about the great dust extraction of these machines and I can confirm that to be the truth and I was amazed at how fast and smooth my routing operations were as well as how that dramatically increased my cutter life. The plunging cutter and retracting guide pin make so many operations quick and easy. I actually used this beast of a machine with a keyhole bit and a template to make hang holes in the back sides of a huge order of plaques a couple of years ago. Once you grasp the concept of making your jigs it is very easy to do many. Many things with this machine and it has the power for about anything you could need to do. Condition of machine. I have never ran the machine 24 hrs a day. Day after day but I have ran it several hours at a time, many times and would always keep an eye on the spindle temp with a"point at it" type thermometer and everything always stayed nice and cool and quiet. Mechanically everything seems to be great, as far as"looks" go, it could probably be prettier but I was much more concerned with function
