It's had very light use in my guitar shop each year. Maybe I've used it once every 2 weeks to make veneers or do final sanding for guitar body blanks(mahogany is typical) Sometimes it sits for many weeks. And when I do use it, the sander never gets heavy use during operation, just one-off sanding projects running maybe 20 minutes at most per piece. FOR THE PHOTOS ABOVE. I'VE REMOVED THE LEFT SIDE PANEL TO SHOW HOW CLEAN THE INSIDE IS, GEARS, ETC ARE- NO RUST OR CORROSION. The double drums are nice feature. Allowing a coarse grit on first drum and a finer grit as the work piece passes under the second drum. Sands very evenly. Not only does this take wood up to 24" ... morewide(I never have had that need) BUT I use it to create"paper thin" veneers- I can get a 1/32" veneer using a simple sled board with sand paper to hold the veneer. very versatile. Very solid and heavy machine, with very low vibration. Some issues I've had. 1) the conveyor belt sputtered(did not run evenly) when in high speed(conveyor controller) And that was due to a loose wire connection on the controller. Works fine now. 2) some occasional snipe marks on top of the work piece when operating the conveyor belt at high speed. This is overcome by making an additional pass-thru at a more moderate conveyor speed. Final thoughts. This sander has worked great for me. But I can't suggest it would be the sander you'd want for a heavy shop environment running cabinet doors, etc. all day long. Good luck bidding. And below is some more company info. Clarke LV-8 Floor sander 8" drum
This is a working floor sander. I bought it off a friend and used it to refinish my bedroom floor. It works well. It is not as powerful as the newer units. The motor seems to struggle with the more coarse grit papers but it got the job done for me. Maybe it can be repowered with a newer motor. I would suggest a repower if you were going to use it commercially or you can just use it for parts. I no longer need this machine as my floor is done and I realize floor sanding is not for me. 25" Ramco wide belt sander - 15 HP with new contact drum and removable platen
25" Ramco Sander(serial number 935) 15 HP. 3 Phase, with a separate motor for the conveyor belt. It has a platen which can be inserted to produce a ripple free surface during fine/finish sanding. T he belt tracking mechanism uses compressed air. I have used this machine in my shop for the last ten years or so and it is a reliable workhorse. I've replaced the contact wheel(a $700+ item) and roller bearings so it cuts like new: there are no dead spots/grooves in the contact wheel. Parts for this machine are still available from Ramco. Also included are 6 new 25"x 60" sanding belts of various grit sizes. This machine weighs about 3500 lbs and shipping from Moab. Utah is not included in the price.

From local business liquidation. This is an older model Clark WorkMaster industrial floor sander with 8" sander drum. Definitely one of the earlier models with wooden handle and screw-in type fuse. Probably the best quality ever made too. Simple operation with power switch mounted on the handle. Machine pivots front and back while the drum is always spinning. Press forward to make sanding contact wit the floor. I'm told it's a good working unit but I am unable to test it because of the configuration of the prongs on the plug end. The ID tag on the machine indicates 110 volt but I can't find any receptacles around the building that match it so I really don't know. Silverline Pro 8 Floor Sander Eight Inch Drum Sanding Machine
Silverline Pro 8 Floor sander. This is one of the best floor sanders you can buy. It has plenty of power and it isnt too heavy to carry up a flight of steps. Cuts nice and evenly, drum has a nice pad on it. There is a slight crack in the base handle bracket which has been fixed with something. I checked with Silverline and a new piece is about $90 but it doesnt need one. Machine comes with a new dust bag, a small handle that holds the front cover open for transporting the machine, a drum wrench, and a 10 gauge cable that is about 25 feet long with a 30 amp male and female plug. Porter cable 10" drum floor sander (rebuilt)
I have a porter cable 10" sander up for auction. This sander I have changed all the bearings and belts. The drum is in good shape and has plenty of life left on it. All the wheels are new and rolls good on floor. I have used it on two jobs to check it out and runs strong. You would have to but 12" sand paper and cut it down to 10" This sander runs very well.
