Double Block With Hook And Becket, Barn Pulley
This auction is for a double block with hook and becket. I don't know the brand or how old it is. Looks as though it could handle up to 1/2" line easily. Overall condition is real good with various dings in the paint and wood surfaces. It has been used but certainly not abused. Except by a bird who used it for some target practice. It has the number 4 and H22C printed on one side next to the bird poop. The number 69 is had written the other side. The sheaves turn easily but could probably use some lubrication. The sheave surfaces are showing a little bit of surface rust and there is plenty of dust in the cracks and crevices. Overall length is approximately 11" and sheaves appear to be approximately 2-1/4" diameter. The hook opening is 1" to perhaps 1-1/16" This block is ready to go to work. It appears very well ... moremade and durable. I purchased it used a year or two back and have never used it. USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate shipping is quoted. Signature required. Middletown was New England's largest inland port, and it was in that year thecompany that would become Wilcox, Crittenden& Co. Inc. was established. Vintage MCM Nautical Wooden Double Sheave Block Pulley - Brass Iron Cross Mark
Extremely unique makers mark on this pulley. It looks like a German Iron Cross with the letters M C M. See pictures. This was found in a deceased estate auction from a collector of everything primitive. Great collection of tools. Iron and other items like this pulley. The wood material looks like oak and another hardwood(darker) like walnut and the hardware is brass(pulleys and maker's mark emblem) I could not locate specific information on the logo and initials; however. Based on materials and construction, I am guessing that this dates to the late 1800's to the early 1900's. We did not clean this item; however. With only minor scratches, it could easily be restored. The wood and the metal parts have no significant damage, chips or missing pieces. We prefer leaving items in a more primitive, natural aged condition; however, as ... morementioned, it could be restored back to the original new condition very easily. 4" Double Pulley with split flanged hub, Kohler, Ariens, Simplicity
Up for auction is a good used 4" double belt pulley that has a split flanged center hub. The diameter of the pulley at the bottom of the grove is approximately 2.75" The width of the groves at the top of the groves are about.60" I think this pulley is for 5L type belts. The center hole is approximately 1" and the keyway is.25" I found this in my father's things when I cleaned out the house. I was probably off a trencher or similar large piece of equipment. The surfaces seem to be all machined so I think this is steel rather than cast iron. I do not see any signs of damage or abuse. The flange and screws are loose and work as they should. please look at the pictures and ask questions before bidding as I do not accept returns. This item is being sold AS-IS.
