Is stamped with Carpentry Department, has a metal plate with rivets to keep the wood from splitting further, lots and lots of petina here, only downfall is the white paint smudge on it. lot of 3 double pulley block and tackle barn find wood Anvil Boston Lockport
Lot of 3 wood and metal pulleys approximately 13 inches in length. One of the pulleys has an Anvil brand seal. One has a Boston-Lockport seal, and the other one has no brand-marking seal. The Anvil brand pulley is missing the bottom spool but has the prongs to attach the spool to. The Boston-Lockport brand pulley has no prongs or spool on the bottom. The pulley with no brand marking has all the parts as far as we know. Both of the red pulleys have one inside spool that does not turn easily and we did not get it to turn all the way around, however, we did not try to force it and did not use any grease etc. to try to loosen it up to get it to turn all the way. Both spools do move at least a quarter of a turn before locking up. To the best of our knowledge all the parts that are included on the Anvil pulley are in working condition. Lot of 2 wood and metal pulleys approximately 15 inches in length. Neither one of these pulleys has a brand marking on them. They are the only ones we have that are gray in color. These pulleys both have large hooks-the hooks are bigger than the wood part of the pulleys. We were told that the pulleys with the large hooks were usually used on ships. Up For Your Consideration: Vintage block& tackle rope/wood pulleys with stamped metal plates(on green pulley) identifying this set was manufactured by The Upson-Walton Co. in Cleveland. Ohio. Mr. Walton and Mr. Upson joined as business partners in 1871 and incorporated in 1893. They were ship chandlers and grocers in the beginning. Wire rope, tackle blocks, and rope fittings from this company were sold world-wide. The company operated the only rope mill in Ohio. One pulley is triple and stained a beautiful. Sea-green. I believe it to be original stain. It has the metal I.D. plate. The other pulley is a double. Vintage'barn rope' included with purchase. Don't miss out on an opportunity to own a beautiful set! Estate find. Sold'as found' condition. I purchased the contents of a little barn and this was inside. The family ... morewas connected to the milling[flour. Grain] industry around the town of Mansfield, Ohio. I also have a set of stamps(from the same estate) used at a mill(from the same estate sale) that I will be listing which includes the New Deal Blue Eagle Stamp. Measurement Approximation Per: Green pulley is about 4" long x 3 1/2" high(not including hook) and is in an oval shape when looking at it from the side. The other pulley is about 3 1/4" long x 4" high(not including hook) and is also in an oval shape when looking at it from the side. I estimate the length of rope to be between 60 and 70 feet. Please do not hold me to accuracy on the length. This is only a guess. Before packed for shipping. This item(both pulleys and rope) weigh about 7 lbs. 12 oz. Year: Estimated 1900-1945 Condition: I rate this set as very good. Vintage condition with the exception of musty/oily odor off the rope. It could actually be a preservative used on the rope at one time but I have no way of telling. I have put dryer sheets in with this item to hopefully remedy the odor problem. Up for sale is this vintage heavyweight barn type rigging double pulley with heavy duty hook. Weighing over 8 pounds. Together, they measure 12" overall. The pulley body measures 5" wide X 7" long with apair of 4" pulley wheels, and the hook measures 4-1/4" wide and 5" long overall. It is in original"as found" condition with rust and remnants of original paint. The wheels turn, but will need some oiling to function smoothly. There is a wheel missing at the bottom and the one that remains is broken as pictured. A great decorator piece for that loft, studio, machine age, or steampunk application. This listing is for a Vintage Block& Tackle Double Pulley with a Cast Metal Hook. There is also a small pulley wheel mounted just below the 2 larger pulleys. Item measures about 10 1/4" long when the hook is extended. Overall width is just shy of 3 1/2" Pulley weighs 2.25 pounds. In good used condition.all wheels turn as they should. There are minor dings and dents in the wood but now serious cracks.piece is solid. Coloration on this pulley is wonderful.a rich honey brown hue on the wood& metal is dark brown for an excellent contrast.be usre to see all pics! VINTAGE GREEN METAL DOUBLE PULLEY#5 BLOCK AND TACKLE. There is a 5 stamped on one side and what appears to be an anchor of sorts on the other. This pulley is in very good condition. Both wheels turn freely. Smaller wheel also turns freely. One small wheel is missing. Some rust otherwise looks good. Measures 11” A great antique pulley. Would make a great display piece. Vintage Large Double Wheel Barn Pulley- 16in.by 5 3/4 in-Old Farm Tool
Hi. Up for auction is this vintage large double wheel barn pulley. It measures about 15 in. from top the of hook to the bottom of the wood pulley. The wood pulley is about 8 in. long and 5 3/4 wide, and about 5 1/2 deep. There is wear from being used. It has a crack in the wood on both sides of the pulley. Please look at pictures for more information. This pulley is solid and no loose parts.There has been a coat of poly applied. I haven't found that many of these bigger pulleys on E-Bay. Old Barn Boat Double Block and Tackle Double Pulley is: Wood Part is 8" x 5 1/2 wood and iron is 10 1/2" not the hook) Hook is 7" x 3 1/2 Single Pulley is 8" x 5 1/2" with iron is 13 1/2" not the hook) Hook is 6 1/4 x 3 1/2" There is a little splitting on the top.see pics Rope is 65' and long I wasn't able to measure it all Maybe 75' The rope is 1" wide I think this is a hemp rope. Please check pictures. The hook on the end of the rope is 4" wide the iron circle. The rope loop just the metal in the rope is 4" There is a small part of rope by the tope of double pulley the is a little rough. Please see pictures. The total weight is around 50lbs. Up for auction are 2 Vintage Metal Double Pulley Block with Clutch/ Brake This type of pulley was used for holding rope in place such as in pulling applications where keeping tension on the rope was needed. Each of the pulleys are all metal.the one with the clutch is 9 1/2" long and has the markings V6& 1149. The other pulley is just about 10 inches long& has the markings V4& 1152.
