It is shrink wrapped to protect it from damage and has preservation tips included in the label on the back. Jerry's was a well known eatery and soda counter popular with surfers and locals, originally the Sea View Inn, which was a famous historic local landmark, and was torn down in the early 1970's. Since both Schecter and ESP in the States are actually owned by ESP Japan. It's fair to consider this instrument comparable to an ESP custom shop in terms of overall quality and build. It features a quartersawn birdseye maple neck with slab rosewood fretboard, solid alder body with gorgeous indigo blue top c/w black sparkle back, Ovation bass tuners, black Gotoh hardware, a canted set of ESP Precision pickups paired with a Jazz on the bridge, and three volume controls(one for each pickup) along with a master tone knob. While this is a LEFTY bass guitar. It's currently setup for right-handed play in the studio and the electronics have been wired to operate on just the 2nd and 4th precision pickups controlled ... moreby a single master volume knob nearest to the bridge pickup. These customizations could be easily reversed to restore the instrument to full pickups and left handed play. But I'll leave that for the new owner to decide. The bass has been gigged over the years and has age-appropriate cosmetic dings and scratches if you study closely, the most noticeable being moderate pick scratches by the palm area, pick wear on the pickup covers, some tarnishing of the hardware, sticker residues by the arm contour, and finish blems around the bottom strap peg most likely when the bass was leaned against amp during gigs which caused the peg to indent slightly into the body(see pics) While the instrument may have some battle scars, it plays and sounds great and is truly an amazing bass you simply don't see everyday. There is no case, but the guitar will be packed carefully with the neck and body unscrewed for shipping. I've included plenty of pictures for your review and consideration. It was released/purchased in September 2007, and it was the featured piece in Guitar Center's"Tribute to Gibson" month. Between 2007 and now, it's only been taken out of its case a handful of times(in a no-smoking, no kids house) and it's in absolutely mint condition. Included with the guitar. These were a collaboration between our friends at Wildwood and Fender Custom Shop to create limited. Authentic-looking guitars straight from the eras they're entitled after. Aside from having the standard 25.5" scale length and 1.65" nut width, this one has a seriously throwback vibe to it. We dig how the faded finish paired with the aged mint pickguard and aged chrome hardware really bolsters that"worn-in" look. The quartersawn maple neck has the familiar Mid 60's"C" shape-really comfortable and smooth-playing, especially considering it's got 6105 frets. Details. 1995 Fender CS Mary Kaye Stratocaster Here's a real beauty of a Strat in the classic"Mary Kaye" look with a blonde finish and gold hardware. This offering comes from the skilled hands of one of the masters in Fender's Custom Shop(John Cruz) and really hangs up there with the very best of them. It's got a few years on it but the frets are still in very good shape so it plays great; the action is quite low on this one and with the 9.5" radius you can bend. Bend, and bend some more, without issue. It has a soft-v profile on the super flamey quartersawn maple neck. It's got a great tone even before you plug it in, with plenty of snap and the low notes hold together well. The pickups have staggered pole pieces so it has the signature Strat tone once you do fire up your amp. You are bidding on a Gibson ES-335 custom shop guitar. The guitar is in absolutely flawless. Immaculate condition. It comes with it's original custom shop hardshell case. The case has a few scuffs, which I tried to show in the pictures, but incredibly minor. I am the second owner of the guitar; the first was a professional luthier. On my end. It has never been gigged. All to say that it is in amazing condition. The guitar has a few very unique upgrades(done by the previous owner. Who, as mentioned, was a pro at that sort of thing. 1) The neck pickup was replaced with a Bartolini pup. Has very focused lows. With a soft, warm attack. This Seymour Duncan pickup was built for me in 2008. It's lived in a Custom Shop Fender Relic Strat in my smoke-free home studio for all that time. The pickup was wound by MJ. Seymour Duncan's right hand person in the Custom Shop. My direction to her when I ordered it was to make a single coil-sized humbucker that came as close as possible to their Duncan Antiquity full size bridge Humbucker. It sounds incredibly close, which I didn't think could be done in a single coil sized pickup. She proved me wrong! It cost me $160 to have built. The pickup is in immaculate condition, as I take pristine care of all my gear. The only reason I'm selling it is because I've decided to put a regular single coil pickup back in that particular guitar. These were part of an extremely small run of specialty amplifiers. Modeled after the first Fender Amplifier: Model 26” and built at Fenders’ Custom Shop out of hand-oiled Bubinga Wood. A sample of this amplifier is pictured on page 421 of the famous book by Tom Wheeler. The Soul of Tone. Celebrating 60 Years of Fender Amps) The amp is based on the Blues Junior circuit with reverb. This is one of several floppy discs and tapes which will be listed over the next few days. They belonged to my partner Ade Cook who died in 2010. He worked with the Pet shop Boys in the 1980s. Pictured is a section of his CV covering this period. He was a wonderful musician. It is best that these end up with someone who can use/enjoy them rather than them continuing to languish in a box! Many relate to the Pet shop Boys but there are also many which from the writing on the labels appear to be a"library"of sounds. In what context these were used I dont know but maybe it was in his work with the Pet Shop Boys or with others he was working with around that time. Please refer to the CV. Hi I am selling my Les Paul Custom. PLease note that the Headstock has been broken and repaired by Gibson. It has been refretted by Gibson with 6105 fret wire 3 years ago. The electronics are RS Guitarworks CTS pots and thier Modern Tone Caps. Pick Ups are stock. I bought the guitar 3 years ago from a guy who broke the headstock. I sent it to the Gibson repair shop in nashville who repaired it. Resprayed it,and refretted it and put a new nut in for the higher frets. The neck is Slim. The stock pick ups are on the Hot side. Virgil Arlo custom shop strat pickups 1954 Fender Stratocaster replacements
Here we have a set of pickups that were supposed to make it in to a project that never got completed. It's been 6 years and I still have not started. I have a set of Virgil Arlo's in my number one strat and my tele and they really stand out. So I guess it's time to sell these. I rarely play any of my other 20 guitars because going from Arlo's to some other pickups is a big drop off. The only other guitar that gets even a little use is my Barden equipped Strat for recording purposes. The Arlo's are clearer and more articulate than the Bardens. I'm not sure Virgil does it but these pickups are really in a league of their own. I heard that he has a bunch of NOS bobbins. Magnets and wire and that he uses a special combination of magnets, whatever he is doing it sounds like magic to my ears. Lollar, Suhr, Fralin all make ... morefine pickups but they just don't make the grade in comparison. These have never been installed and I still have the original packaging. A burlap sack. Lol. You would think for as much as these cost Mr. Arlo could afford a plastic housing. Don't worry though, I will pack well and insure your shipment. These pickups sound great through just about any amp but I really like they way they sound through my Swart Amp. I recently upgraded from my Swart Atomic JR and I'll be sellling that soon also so keep an eye out. If you great tone you should buy both. From the quartersawn maple neck to the Abigail Ybarra Fender pickups. Its as good as the 1959 gets. This bass comes with a case which protects it but it is not the origina l case. However it is a original fender 1975 p bass case. This instrument comes with Flat wound strings and it is just vintage AWESOME! This bass is around 8lbs and sounds amazing. I have been the only owner of th is black beauty since I bought it in 2004. I only used this guitar for slide so there is almost no fret ware. I used this guitar to record a couple slide songs on the last record I did and it sound ed great. My set up was this guitar through a Mar shall Plexi full stack and nothing e lse.
