A few have a hint of rust, nothing detracting or damaging. These have varying amounts of copper/brass wash highlights left on them, almost like a mild"Japanned" finish. Most of this is near the wall mount, where hook wasn't constantly rubbed by clothing. If you want more than one, I will do my best to pick ones for you with similar finish, although they all basically match. These are probably turn of the 19th/20th century; so the finish variation is good honest age wear. I believe these originally came from a schoolhouse. Up for auction or sale are these original vintage Fender Jazz Bass bakelite knobs with original nickel-plated set screws screws. This is a set of two volume knobs and one smaller tone knob. They show the evident wear from 40+ years of use. But no chipping or cracks or other defects. They have a gorgeous patina from age and use, I would not clean them or do anything to alter them as it would call their provenance into question. They work perfectly as is. These came from either a Pre-CBS Fender Jazz Bass or from a mid-60's early CBS-era bass. The set screws turn well and everything works as it should. 1962 FENDER PRECISION BASS KNOBS, THUMBREST, STRAP BUTTONS, P/G SCREWS & ST TREE
FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING! Although this group is off a 1962 Precision Bass it is perfect for restoring any Precision from 1959 through 1966. Includes(2) knobs. Thumbrest with screws, strap buttons with screws, 13) pickguard screws and a string tree with screw. All the screws are original and may exhibit mixed degrees of slight rust or minor corrosion, but they are all in good shape(none are stripped) One knob(was the volume) has a lot of wear of the chrome but this was the original. Matched set. The thumbrest is a beautiful, deep maroonish/black like you would expect! Strap buttons and screws are solid. The rest of the stuff is correct& original, too.
