2009 Carl Thompson custom 6 string hand made ball scroll electric guitar Up for auction is a 2009 Carl Thompson ball scroll style electric guitar. Made by hand in Brooklyn. New York. One of the nicest guitars he's ever made, in my opinion. Not another exactly like it- though of course that's true of all his creations. It does share a somewhat similar vibe to a few guitars he made last year for Lou Reed(highly recommend checking those beauties out on Carl's You Tube channel) Features countless(well alright. Maybe not countless) laminates of rare. Exotic, and(and in the case of bloodwood and birdseye maple) extremely difficult woods to tame. Body core is mahogany, with top wing laminates of bocote and back wing laminates of bloodwood. The Bocote has gorgeous figure(including hidden smiley faces! and the bloodwood is an incredibly ... moreintense red- not at all oxidized. Other woods on the body include flamed maple, and a reddish brown wood for some accents(mahogany? Jet black ebony fingerboard with perfect frets affixed to a exquisitely figured birdseye maple neck(if you're into woodworking you know how rare this is for a neck stock and can appreciate how difficult this wood is to carve) Neck is bound with runners of the same reddish ochre colored accent laminates used on the body. Not totally sure of the species but the grain is mahogany-like. Pickups are both Kent Armstrong humbuckers. Two mini toggle switches; one is a three way pickup selector. And the other functions as a mute/ on/ high cut switch. Jack is mounted on one of Carls signature'football' carved jack plates. Tuners are hipshots and the bridge is a gold plated tuneamatic style. Tailpiece is one of Carls creation, built from two pieces of bocote and ebony affixed to a shaped brass plate and inlaid with two dots of mother of pearl. Truss rod functions perfectly. Vintage Martin Electric GT-70 Guitar and Hard Case in Excellent Condition
This guitar is trueley a peice of history and sounds amazing. The GT-70 was a single cutaway. Produced in 1965 and 1966 only, and the GT series was their first guitar with an in-neck adjustable truss rod. It also has the Bigsby Vibrato. Kept in hard case over 3/4 of its life and now in a studio where it's kept in mint comdition. The pickups are warm, punchy, and full of tone.

1971 Micro-Frets Spacetone Vintage Electric Collector Guitar
This is a One Owner Micro-Frets Spacetone Serial# 2360. Previously owned by Tubby who played in the Rocket City with Carolyn in the mid 70's and 80's. All Original. The finish is black with a off white trim. Comes with the original Hard Shell Case and all the original documentation. This one is not pristine but it is as close as you'll probably find for a 1971 model. That was played and loved by it owner. The following is some information I found about the history of the guitar& company: Ralph S. Jones created the Micro-Frets brand in the 1960's.Ralph was an engineer and introduced some unique features on these original models: The Micro-Frets guitars featured a novel"Micro-Nut" which aimed to compensate for the poor intonation seen on contemporary instruments. You could adjust this nut. They also had a special"Calibrato" ... moretremolo, which was supposed to help keep the strings in tune. Pickups were designed by pickup guru Bill Lawrence, with coil taps as standard on some models. Bodies were made from two pieces of hardwood, routed out to give a hollow-body. Necks had an elliptical profile• Later models included the 1968 Orbiter, which contained an FM transmitter so you could play your guitar through the radio. When Ralph Jones died the company closed after a year. It is estimated that only around 3,000 of these original Micro-frets guitars were built.

It is in good condition considering its age(cir.1927) Comes with original dust cap. Everything appears to be in good condition. I have no idea how to test it. I made a wooden box to ship it in to prevent shipping damage as it is very heavy! I can see no visible damage and took every angle picture to show that to be the case. This item was removed from a local theater that shut down in the 50's. This is a sought after item and I hope it exceeds your expectations. In 1926. Before one year when talking motion picture was born, Messrs Wente and Thuras of the Bell telephone Laboratories and Western Electric Company produced a horn loudspeaker with a moving coil mechanism driving a diaphragm and a powerful ... moremagnet system with a battery energized field coil. Dreambow Semi-Hollowbody Double-Cutaway Electric Guitar - Stunning
Dreambow Electric Guitar- double-cutaway. Hollowbody guitar(no f-holes) Has two black pickups, three position toggle and volume/tone control for each pickup. Dreambow fans are diehard(even more so now that Dreambow has ceased production of electrics to focus on acoustics) because of their high build quality. Unique appearance, superb playability, great sound, and exceptional value. I got this one in 2008. And I think it has to be a pre-production prototype. The headstock is hand-carved(in a shape I’ve never seen before or since) and the‘Dreambow’ logo on it also appears to be hand-carved. I would not be surprised if the entire guitar was a hand-built one-off. However it was made. It is an extremely cool guitar. It’s a hollowbody, but has no f-holes(the way Gibson builds the BB King Lucille from the ES-345) and the body size is fairly compact, ... moreabout the size of Gibson’s Les Paul Double-Cut, so it’s very comfortable to play standing up or sitting down. The coolest part. Though, has to be how it looks. It is in absolute mint condition. The whole guitar is an amber-ish color, but the body wood has darker natural striping. I think it’s best described as looking like a tiger. It has blacked-out passive pickups with no visible pole pieces like EMG’s, but I cannot find any identifying marks on them. These pickups are the perfect visual complement to the wood’s figuring. It also has cream-colored binding on the body and neck. Sound-wise. The hollowbody construction imparts an airiness to the tone when playing clean. It’s a great jazz box if you keep the grit dialed back. But this thing comes into its own at louder volumes with a good tube amp grinding into distortion zone. With an overdrive pedal you can get it to sing like Santana. And even though it’s hollow, the sealed body makes feedback musical and completely controllable. It has no case nor gig bag. So I’m open to input on shipping from whoever wins this. Playability, and sound standpoint, but the silver-sparkle finish really makes it pop onstage. These guitars are beloved(look up any review or visit the Triumph forum on harmonycentral.com) and extremely hard to find now that Godin has stopped making them. I have no idea why they stopped producing them; I’ve never seen anything other than glowing reviews and testimonials and forums are filled with people looking for them. early 1980's NJ series B.C. BC RICH Bich electric guitar w/ tolex hard case MIJ
1980's Japanese made BC Rich Bich NJ series electric guitar. Black with an original form fitting black tolex case and this is all original with the exception of changed strap buttons. These guitars tear incredible@$$ and that is no joke, this has incredible highs, crunch and just a fantastic metal sound. In addition these old NJ series necks feel great to play and this has the original Floyd Rose locking tremolo which is also functional. The guitar is set up and all of the electronics are working and it is definitely ready to tear down a stage. The condition is fair. There is a good deal of scratching and some sort of abrasions on the top(pic 8) There are no breaks whatsoever and there is nothing that is noticeable from a distance, i.e. while on stage. There was never a backplate so that is not missing, the trem springs are supposed to ... morebe exposed. This is 100% as far as playing and it is still in great shape for a 30 year old guitar. The case is definitely original and that is fantastic. This is form fitting and is a very hard tolex case. This is not anything like the standard cases of today and this guitar is also not like anything that is coming out today. About a year ago I thought I’d like to start playing it more so took it to my guitar tech to have it professionally set up. At the same time I had a tone knob converted to a push-pull coil tap so both pickups can operate in single-coil or humbucking mode. I also didn’t like the stock plastic knobs. So I had them replaced with small, plain black ones(like on the gorgeous Benedetto electrics) This small, subtle change makes the guitar look much cooler. Includes foot pedal and six bobbins. The machine’s finish is in very good to excellent condition. The exception being the wheel which has significant chipping. You will receive everything pictured, including foot hemmer, adjustable hemmer, edge stitcher, gatherer, zipper foots, ruffler and binder. Also included are two original instruction booklets which are complete and intact, and a carrying case. The case is in fair to good condition with some damage to the handle, but is still usable. Unusual 1950's Childs Electric Singer Sewing Machine Wheel Drive Original Case
You are bidding on a 1950's Childs Electric Singer Sewing Machine with Wheel Drive and Original Case. After looking at hundreds of completed and current auctions on Ebay I fail to find a childs sewing machine that has a drive mechanism like this one. A wheel friction drive built inside the case with a switch to turn on the drive wheel and another switch to engage the drive wheel. This is truly an unusually different machine. The Machine in crinkle tan with the Singer Emblem is in very nice condition and runs well. The Blue and White Case with working latch. Hinges. Handle, and intact rubber feet, the case covering shows some signs of wear. Its measurements are; 13" x 9 1/2" x 5" Included in the case is an attachable manual crank handle. I have not tried to clean this unit as I will leave that up tothe experts. Black hardware, and a recessed made in USA Kahler 2700 Floyd Rose Lic. locking tremolo(Missing the whammy bar) Reminds me of the Vandenberg series! It has 3 pickups that sound great!2 single coil and a humbucker) It is 25.5 scale. The neck width at the nut is a litle more than 1 5/8" and it weighs 8 pounds. The condition is almost excellent(a 9 out of 10) with light normal signs of use and shows average fret wear.
