Fine Chinese Wall Hanging Silk Embroidery Cranes Old Collection 37" NR
Time to start downsizing. I will be listing a collection of mostly antique Oriental items, as well as other antiques. In the next few weeks and months. These have all been in our family for years, often decades and generations. My mom and grand ma used to be the expert collectors. Bought most of them in post war Germany. I went antique hunting with my mom. But never got to learn the finer points, so please correct me if I should make any mistakes in my descriptions. Bucyrus Erie Antique Porcelain Sign, Cranes or Steam Shovels
This is a large(25 x 7.5 inches) Bucyrus Erie porcelain sign. It was made by Veribrite Signs of Chicago. The sign is in generally good condition. But there is a large chip at the top edge, and several smaller chips. Around the edges, the black is chipped through to yellow and white colors. The sign is not bent. There is a small black spot on the B, which may have been a factory flaw. There are some rust-colored streaks and scratches on the Y, and some light scratches on the black parts. Where the chips are down to the metal, the surface is rough and somewhat pitted, but not very deeply pitted. There are still brass( screws in all four of the holes, with square nuts and washers. 2 VTG/ANTIQUE JAPANESE POTTERY & PORCELAIN BOWLS W/CRANES CELADON & BLUE/WHITE
This auction is for two lovely bowls that are alike only in that they both depict lovely cranes. The blue porcelain bowl is approximately 2-1/2 inches tall and 5-1/2 inches wide at the top rim. The outside of the bowl is decorated with a horizontal geometric pattern while the inside is decorated with 3 red crested cranes flying over waves. There is a blue chop mark containing Japanese( characters on the bottom of the bowl. The green pottery bowl is a celadon color with a fluted edge. The outside of the bowl is covered with flying cranes and the bottom is marked with a single character(see photo) This bowl is approximately 1-7/8 inches tall and 3-1/2 inches in diameter at the top. For sale are these four cups with the flying crane and cloud motif and a candle holder in the same pattern. They are all done in a green crackle glaze. The cups are 2" tall and 4 1/4" in diameter. Japanese Satsuma Enameled Ocean Sea Waves Flying Cranes Seto Vase Masukichi?
This is a Japanese Satsuma vase. It is enameled with cranes and waves. It is unsigned. But resembles work from Kawamoto Masukichi, an early figure in Satsuma pottery. I believe this is an unfinished vase, as there is a brown mark under the glaze and what looks like a fingerprint where someone touched the vase before it cooled. You can see the cranes are similar on page 30 of the"Master Potter of Meiji Japan" in google books. Antique pair Japanese black cloisonné vases with cranes
This is a mirrored pair of black cloisonné vases each decorated with 5 cranes. They are each 7 ¼ inches tall. They are unmarked but have tags on the bottom. The vases have geometrical borders on the top and bottom. We believe these date to the late 19th or early 20th century. The vases are in excellent condition. There is no damage but there are some light scratches and rubbing.

This pair of vintage Kutani sake cups is in the Thousand Crane pattern. The white detail on the cranes is slightly raised. The cranes are painted on a gilt background and there is a dark red stripe around the base of the bowl. They are in lovely condition no chips. Korean celadon has superior quality with rich jade colors and pronounced crazing under the glaze. This set has beautiful form and detail. It has a pattern of inlaid cranes flying among the clouds which symbolizes immortality. The four cups measure 2" in height and 2-3/4" across the rims. The design is dyed in and has some gold screening. There is a red kamon or family crest in the middle. This stuff has a musty odor. This stuff is older and has some spotting that may or may not wash out.this piece is on the grotty side and there is some discoloration.please bid accordingly.
