The front has Sasquash under glaze, the U.S. Navy squadron image and Attackron 66 on it and the reverse side has an image of an A-7E Corsair Jet. The bottom has an impressed Victor on it and was probably personalized at Bill's Mug Shop, 1950 University Blvd, N. Jacksonville, Florida whose logo appears as well. Old Woodman’s Pal Victor Tool Machette with Metal Sheath
Old Woodman’s Pal Victor Tool Machette with Metal Sheath This is a very good condition Woodman’s Pal survival tool/ Fighting Knife. Frederick Ehrsam designed this knife in the late 30’s as an all purpose brush cutting and chopping tool. It is arguably the best such tool ever invented. This one is the wood handled version- probably from the 1940's or 1950's. It comes with navy-style metal sheath. The sheath is in excellent shape with original paint. The blade and sickle hook are quite sharp and appear to have the factory edges. It does have the military bevel at the forend(for digging) but I don't know if it was military issue.The wood handle is smooth and secured firmly to the blade. The blade has shallow surface pitting(some call it patina) and bears the inscription: WOODMAN'S PAL 280 TRADE MARK-PAT# 2335497 VICTOR TOOL CO. ... moreREADING P.A. By the way I have used several of these since I was a kid in Boy Scouts. Currently I use one in the yard here in South Carolina for cutting vines at the fence line and some of the bamboo and brush that grows in the yard. The sickle hook can be laid almost flat to the ground and pulled up against vines and other plants and cuts them off without the edge smashing into the soil and the stones that inevitably lie there. Thus the edge stays sharp for long periods of time and needs only a bit of work with a fine stone to come back to full sharpness. The long edge penetrates deeply. Especially in green wood, and will trim a 2 inch diameter branch off a tree in 4 or 5 chops- an ax just bounces off. You need to use one of these to really appreciate the design. This is a nice specimen. Though but with slight rusting on the blade surface. These old ones seem to be a bit sharper than the new ones due to a shallower blade bevel on the main blade and the hook. Here is a vintage Art Deco gl ass mirror electric alarm clock. The clock is marked VICTOR Model 100. This clock will need to be rewired as the wire is broken. So I do not know if it works or not. It appears that it is pink foil paper behind glass on the face. The piece measures 5" high by 7" wide by 2" deep and the body appears in good used condi tion. T his comes to you as is. Estate found. The re are 2 winders missing off the back of the clock and shown in the p ictures. A very pretty and unique Art Deco alarm clock worthy of a re-do! Measurements are: 6 1/2" tall x 7 1/2" wide from spout tip to the back of the handle ... morex 2 1/2" front to back Weight: 15.6 ounces(nearly 1 pound) This is very solid and well made with lots of early deepened patina but positively no corrosion spots. No pitting, or any indication of a base metal at all It does have fine scratches from polishing with some dents and dings. Which you'll be able to assess for yourself by looking at our photos We think this is quadruple plate customarily manufactured by the Victor Silver Company. But it looks too like it could even be well tarnished sterling or pewter by how deep and rich the dark gray silver patina is on it Suffice to say this is a very well made. For your consideration is a DEPRESSION GLASS AMBER/YELLOW SANDWICH GLASS BOWL MADE BY WESTMORELAND GLASS CO. IN 1893-PATTERN"VICTOR" OR"SHELL& JEWELL"THAT MEASURES 7 3/4" IN DIAMETER. This bowl is 3" deep and has a textured pattern with a scalloped design around the sides. It has 2 very small nics on the rim(see photos) but is otherwise in very good condition. I have owned this bowl since it was left to me by my Grandma who died in 1978. Information regarding the maker of the bowl. Its pattern name, and its age, were all provided by a generous eBay member who supplied data to the best of their knowledge. Additional information is welcomed.

ESTATE ITEM ~ LARGE HOPI STERLING BOLO TIE ~ VICTOR COOCHWYTEWA ~ VINTAGE 1960s ~ MARKED This is a beautiful example of a Bolo Tie by master Hopi artist Victor Coochwytewa. 1922-2011 The length including the tips is 20 Inches long. Each tip measures 2 1/4 Inches long. The silver bolo itself is 2 1/4 Inches long by 1 5/8 at the widest point. The top is 1 3/8 Inches and the bottom is 1 1/8 Inches. The turquoise stone is 5/8 inches long x 3/8 inches wide. The original leather is still very soft and supple. The back is marked at the top and bottom with the Rain cloud which is Mr. Coochwytewa's mark. I had this Bolo appraised and authenticated by Mark Bahti Indian Arts in Tucson Arizona. Please note this bolo is in beautiful original condition and has been in my family for nearly the past 50 years. I don't know its exact date of purchase ... morebut it was probably around 1964. Please note the light use marks and the turquoise stone seems to have a flaw in the middle. Please see pictures. The stone is set solid and does not move whatsoever. Victor Coochwytewa served in World War II, returning in 1946 with a Purple Heart. He was among the first to enroll in the training program taught by Paul Saufkie and Fred Kabotie and became one of its most successful graduates. To increase the contrast between the shiny top layer and the dark lower of his overlay patterns, he developed a new technique for oxidizing and texturing the background layer-an approach still used today. Coochwytewa did not let becoming a renowned jeweler change him. I work in the field during the morning and do silversmithing in the afternoon. Then I work again in the field in the evening.
