This beautiful small white opalescent glass bowl was produced in the USA around 1905 by Dugan glass company. The pattern is known as Jewelled Heart but was originally called Victor. The footed bowl measures approximately 6" in diameter x 2 1/8" deep. This bowl is in very good to excellent condition. If you are thinking of buying more than one- all 4 bowls are actually in lovely condition. A couple have a small strawmark inside and at least one has a couple of teensy bubbles if you look for them. For the strawmark. See next to last picture just above the center on the ... morebottom. One bowl has a tiny flaw just under the top edge. There's a rough spot right below the edge beading. You may be able to see this in the last pic close-up where it's at the top just to the right of the center in the pic. Those tiny flaws are all I can find to report- and none of them are noticeable. Please do examine the pictures carefully but note that any bright white and/or yellow spots on pics are just glare/flash! A very nice original Standard Talking Machine Style X. Original finish on the case is in excellent condition. The case measures 11 1/2" square. 6" to the top of the platter. The horn measures 17" long. The diameter of the bell is 17 1/2" The horn is in excellent condition with just a couple minor scratches. Great blue color! The horn support swing arm is original and marked X2. The fixed black support arm is original but has been nicely repainted. The platter felt has been replaced. The motor was removed from the case and taken apart. The spring was cleaned and degreased with new lithium grease added. The gears were greased. The governor was oiled. The governor weights are original. The brake pad is now new leather. I'm having trouble with governing the speed of the turntable. Runs fast then slows until you adjust ... morethe speed control then speeds up again. Original reproducer has not been rebuilt. Low starting bid required. It comes with an original Exhibition long throat reproducer with a round hole. Original wood tone arm, original slotted crank, original front bracket, original horn elbow, original brass bell horn- with a"patent applied for stamp" The cabinet has all the rope molding and the original finish and ID plate. The turntable has the original felt. The record hold down is missing. The motor winds up and runs. Please see the condition report below and view the photographs for condition. Nice Vintage Steel Victor Safe Panel with Decal
Up for auction is a Vintage steel panel that came from a Victor Safe. I believe this plate was located on the inside of the door of a safe. But I am not sure. The panel is heavy weighing over 7 pounds. The approximate measurments are 16 inches wide X 26 inches tall. The Victor Safe decal is about 3 1/4 Wide X 4 tall. Victorian Embossed Valentine Die Cut Pop Up Floral Bird Girl Scraps-Loves Victor
This item is a: Victorian embossed die cut pop-up Valentine. The lace-like first layer has accordion hinges that allow it to lift dimensionally. It is decorated with scraps of doves and a veiled lady that have been attached to additional embossed“lace” paper. Inside the oval opening on the base of the card is a floral scrap. The blue tinted base is decorated with a geometric design and gilding. The card opens with verse inside. Loves Victory” and a cherub flying on butterflies. There are evidences of it having been attached in an album/scrapbook as there are remnants of small wafers on the back. There is some discoloration and there is an area where some of the scallops are missing on the right edge of the“lace” The lower left corner has a light bend. The card measures 4 ¼ inches wide and 6 ½ inches high. This is still a beautiful ... moreexample and would make a nice addition to a collection. I know you can damage tube-type electronics by plugging them in without proper electronics restoration knowledge so I am NOT going to plug it in to test it. All tubes and electronics appear to be in place and in good visual shape. Known flaws: Fabric speaker cover need some repair as seen in the photos. Rear panel cover is damaged as seen in the photos. Tonearm, however; did not engage when reject switch was activated. This is as far as we went with testing the unit. The box as shown does show significant wear/separations and the cardboard is brittle. Box needs to be handled gently as to avoid further breakage. It is also used on phonographs made by Columbia. Edison, Silvertone, Brunswick, Aeolian Vocalion and many others. Other sellers are peddling thin leather belt strips and claiming that it can be used as brake pad leather. That is simply poor advice that comes from inexperience. There is, however, a right way to do the work. The leather that Victor used is just like the leather I am selling. It is a single ... morelength of core hide leather which is cut from the thickest section of cow hide. Installation Hints: I assume that the purchaser understands how to install a new brake or friction pad and only offer the following as a reminder of how to carefully proceed with the work. In most early phonographs the pads are held captive in a fork-like feature that grips around the leather. Removing the old pad is simply a matter of carefully tearing/cutting away the old remnants. Installing the new pad requires great care because the forked opening must be slightly spread open in order to receive the new leather. Once in place. The fork is then very gently clamped tight using a pair of pliers. You need a very steady hand and a just a little patience. I cannot tell you how many brake and friction pad holders I have repaired in the past for folks who rushed and broke something. Take your time and make sure you use a steady, patient hand. 1936 Conn 8A Victor cornet original brass lacquer - nice condition - a player!
1936 C.G. Conn Victor 8A cornet with case. Mute, mouthpiece etc. I'm selling this very nice. 1936 Conn Victor 8A cornet. Ele g ant s lender design. Don't let the smaller wrap fool you. This is a.458 bore horn. I find it a more easier-playing bore size than this horn's brother. The Victor 80A. It projects a nice, big sound. The cornet has its original lacquer. Which is about 65% As would be expected for a horn like this, there are scratches and spots of wear on the lacquer. It has that older lacquered look to it- which I find very appealing, actually. Crysteel" bottom-sprung valves are in excellent condition- s mooth with great compression. When I received this horn the first valve slide had some deep dents. After repairing the dents my repairman felt the brass was weak at the end of the slide. So he put a very nicely done ... morepatch at the end. It matches up well with the original patch on the second valve slide done by Conn as protection for that spot. Cornet comes with the original case which is in good condition. The left latch spring doesn't work. I believe that can be repaired. Included is the original Brillante mute(in rough condition) Lyre, cleaning rod, and an original, short-shank, Conn"E-Z tone" mouthpiece. Please NOTE: when I took the pictures, I forgot to put the stop rod nuts and cap back on the horn. These WILL BE included. Questions gladly answered. Thanks for looking.
