Common brand names/designations are WP-17(Weldcraft) PTA-17(Lincoln) DB-17(Miller Diamond back) This is an extremely high quality tig welding torch which features a one piece power cable design. The power cable is made from silicone rubber with a nylon braided weave overlay which means it is extremely flexible- and it will stay flexible in cold weather! This design puts much less strain on your wrist and makes the torch feel lighter. We will put this torch against any of the above mentioned torches in both quality and performance. A 17 series torch is the standard torch found on many tig welders. It uses 10N series Alumina Cups which are about 1 7/8" long. The super flexible one piece cable assembly is 25 feet long. This is a 150 amp 100% duty cycle torch. This 17 series torch includes a long back cap. But does not include any collets, collet bodies alumina cups or tungsten. My personal welder. No problems. Missing nozzle that is a consumable that is not expensive. Can use with flux wire now or add gas hose, gauges for shielding gas(this is how I have always used it. I just had to use this part with my new(I have had for a couple years) welder. Gun works fine, really everything does. I just went to the unit you could use co2 with for work around my farm. I am not a pro welder at all(pictures of my crappy welds available for proof! Ha) But the miller is a great machine. I have stepped over this in my garage for the last time! I have owned this unit since new and has very little use. unit always worked flawlessly however the other day I saw the blue LED flashing and turned the unit off. the next day the unit would not power up. I have bought a new much big unit as all I needed was an excuse. This is an older model Miller Tig/Stick welder power source. Worked great when taken out of service several years back. The tig wand. Foot control pedal, and gas regulator has been removed but you should be able to get parts at your local welding store if you intend to use this as a tig rig. This is a high frequency machine so it will work for welding aluminum. This welder includes a shop built roll around cart and(90) l.f. of ground lead and(140) l.f. of stinger lead. The leads do have some electrical tape in places from the plastic getting nicked but are generally in decent shape. The main rheostat could stand to be replaced as well but it does work as is.
