Miller Commercial diving helmet hat black
It's out of date and probably needs some new comms but it worked dang good up until 2010. I haven't really dove it since but I'm sure with an inspection at diver's supply you'll be diving in no time. I'm the second owner of this hat. It's a bit dusty in the pics but if dust from sitting in a garage is going to bother you then you probably shouldn't be diving a miller. Go get yourself a superlight in that case. I'm sure it's underpriced but it's been sitting around and I'm not planning on diving again, so why not liquidate it? This is a vintage manually operated Divers helmet air supply pump manufactured by Miller-Dunn Co. Miami, Florida. This piece of equipment is in very nice external condition but has been used just as a display item for many years. There is just a little black paint loss here and there but looks very original. It is marked'MILLER- DUNN CO. MIAMI FLA NO.1A' Although the mechanism works freely it doesn't actually pump any air at the moment and would need some kind of attention to the inside of the bellows and re-commissioning to actually get it working although I would imagine anyone interested would probably also just want to have it for display. The pump has been mounted on a wooden base which in turn sits on a stand. The dimensions of the wooden stand are approx. 29 1/2" long. 9 1/4" wide and 10 1/2" high. This is a used Miller Elite series welding helmet. I am not sure what the part number of this helmet is but it is NOT the digital series. I believe it is the previous model. The Helmet shell, head cushion, front lens cover, inner lens cover, batteries are all BRAND NEW. The actual lens that darkens is about the only item that is use with this helmet along with the the grey head gear frame. The Darkening lens has a small spot in the bottom right corner where it doesn't work for some reason. as shown in the pictures) It was never dropped or anything but its just that corner and its smaller than a penny in size. Other than that spot the lens works perfectly fine and has no issues. The lat time I had this auction running someone did a buy it now and never paid for it. So now I am relisting it.

Thanks for looking at a 100% authentic vintage Miller-Dunn U.S. Navy diving helmet& collar. This helmet was produced and put into service in the late 1940's and used by a U.S. Navy serviceman by the name of Martin Colbert for a number of years before being stored away. The helmet has various markings and indentations from its years of service and there is no glass in the top or side visors slots. Only the front visor. I've been told this was produced in the Miami, Florida factory that burnt down. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions. This item for bid is a miller welding hood. Its got the 4in lens for extra visibility. The actual hood has some wear. A few nicks and scratches, its been used, but not that much, about two college classes worth. The glass lens is in pretty good shape. Its got a catch on the adjustment strap(which is in great shape) so it doesn't constantly keep loosing up on your head. The outside plastic lens cover has some cracks it, so you probably would want to replace that but there cheap, around five bucks or so I believe. All the adjustment knobs work great. I did a though clean and got what little soot was on it off. When I bought this at Air Gas I paid about $90.00 for it. Will come in good shipping with glass lens wrapped in cardboard.

Miller-Dunn was founded in Florida around 1914 with emphasis on shallow water diving using helmets and simple equipment that did not require exhaustive training.
