very unusual 3 piece rubber & metal lens hood or shade with 62mm threads
You are bidding on one 62mm rubber and metal lens hood or shade as pictured. It is unmarked. I keep looking. But no markings will appear! It has male 62mm threads on the camera end. Outside diameter is about 92mm. And overall length not including the male threads is about 46mm. The rubber is quite thick and rather stiff. And does not collapse. The base has two parts: the main base with the male 62mm threads. And the locking or retaining ring with the 2 holes for a spanner wrench. The rubber part fits exactly into the base, so they were obviously made for each other. The retaining ring is only finger tight, and if loosened a bit, the rubber will easily rotate. It appears to be very well made. And was probably quite expensive back in its day. Condition is very good. The fixture has a very thick glass fancy nouveau or deco embossed scrolling floral pattern bottom bowl glass shade. Has three brass arms cups and sockets for bulbs, standard iron chains to a brass ceiling cap. Chandelier in original condition and finish, found with had an extra bulb& socket arrangement for the inside and lots of dirt. Arms have one Hubbell paddle socket, one Union paddle socket, and one Keystone socket. The shade is thick and high quality. Possibly made by Consolidated Glass in Pittsburgh, PA. Would date the lamp ca. 1910s- 20s. Fixture has about a 40" drop. Shade is 16" wide and 8" tall, ... morewith the socket arms about 24" across. Heavy, will weigh 20 pounds packed to start. The chandelier is quite large, and will be a marvelous focal point in any room. Chandelier just recovered from an attic. In original unrestored condition. Tiny shallow chip to white on inner edge- not visible on exterior. The next largest is marked: Made in Germany. It measures 3" tall by 8-3/4" wide by 4-1/2" deep. The holes on each end are 1/2" diameter. Teeny shallow- hardly visible- chip to back center edge. The smaller shade has a fine acid etched desgn. It is marked: Emer-lite, Czechoslovakia. Featuring an antique three chain shade with clear and ivory satin glass sunflower design, fixture is metal(probably steel) with a sort of"arts and crafts" style, painted ivory. Shade hangs from 3 chrome chains. New socket and wiring, the socket will easily take a 100 watt bulb, possibly higher, this is up to the buyer. The shade has some water marks on the satin parts of the glass, they are not obvious but the price is much lower than usual for this type of item because it is not"new" looking, it definitely has some antique patina as does the fixture. The edges have a nice decorative shape to them. There are no cracks that I could see and only a small chigger in the edge as shown in the pictures. Very small. Antique Bradley & Hubbard Slag Glass Shade w/ Cattails for Octagonal 3" Fitter
From an estate dispersal and at ebay for your consideration is this nice antique slag glass lamp shade with cattail overlay border. Measures 18 inches in diameter from point to point and is 8 inches tall. This shade was found in and attic of a old house and we only dusted it off slightly to photo graph. It needs a proper cleaning especially behind the lattice. The octagonal fitter hole measures 3 Inches wide across to the flat sections. It has been identified by another ebay member as a Bradley& Hubbard and we thank you for your support. We could not see a signature but this is a high quality shade.
