Item Photos, DETAILS Vintage Oxweld Goggles Welding/Motorcycle/Steampunk Goggles Green Tinted Removable Lenses This listing is for a pair of vintage Oxweld welding safety goggles. These are made of a heavy duty green plastic and have dark green tinted. Removable safety lenses. These goggles are very cool, and would look great in any steampunk style outfit, and would look even cooler with your motorcycle helmet. These have two heavy duty plastic frames attached in the middle by a chrome bar that says"Oxweld" on it. The lenses have screw-off caps and the lenses pop out so they can be used for a variety of purposes. The lenses included right now are a deep green tinted lens over a clear safety lens. These are very nice goggles that have a cool vintage appeal. Condition: These are vintage and show signs of use and wear. They are structurally ... morein good shape. But the lens have some light scratching. The elastic straps and clasps are stretchy and work well. The leather nose-pad is in good shape. Vintage Oxweld Type AA Medium Shade Protective Lens for Welding Goggles
I found these two pair of lens in a box of tools from an estate sale. They look as if they have never been out of the original package. These are Oxweld brand Type AA medium shade lens. One set is for No. 16 or 17 goggle and the other for no. 15 spectacles. The set for the spectacles have beveled edges for insertion into the frames. Nice find. VTG Blue Oxweld Bakelite Era Dual Lens Welding Cutting Goggles For Parts Repair
Tried to clean these up the best I could. There's still grit on the lenses that is not coming easily off. I think it will come off with careful cleaning bit I will leave that to the buyer. One of the lenses is broken. One of the lens housings has problems with the aluminum vent. All the threading is fine. Nothing else appears broken or missing. The original strap is atrophied and brittle. I know very little about them. Questions welcome. Thanks.
