Not sure how old this BROWN VINTAGE TRENCH coat is but it definitely dates from no later than the 1970's. It may be 1930's-40's as resembles some of the coats worn by police/military in that era. Very heavy-duty. Warm grade of leather in excellent condition-bought at an antiques store. NOT SURE OF BRAND-However there is a logo on the inside collar(see photo) I am 6' 5" tall and it fits me great. However I've moved to a warm climate and can no longer wear it regularly. This is a really cool robe in a rare larger size. I am unsure of the fabric content. Has a blanket design on a greyish tan background. Has a twisted rope belt which is a little beat up but original to the garment. The purple interfacing and tag at the inside upper neck is shredded as seen in the photos. Has a breast pocket and two lower just below the waist pockets. This robe was majorly dusty when I found it. Can't imagine why- been in the closet for 60 years! I put it in soapy water in the bathtub. It still needs some brightening up because there is still shading from dust. I remember being a kid and wanting this shirt more than I could explain. But it was so hard to find! I finally found it and had to buy it. Years later, however, it's been stored away in my closet waiting for a new home, so here it is! This shirt is rare and it's amazing, and comes from a smoke free house. I did some research and Nelly Don has quite a history: Nelly Don was a clothing manufacturer and distributor through the 1950s. It was named after its founder, The company was headquartered in and had additional factories in that state. During it made uniforms for women in the military and factories. And underwear for men in the military. Nelly Don manufactured 75 million dresses from 1916 to 1978 making it the largest dress manufacturer of the 20th century. They were one of the first companies to apply assembly line techniques to clothing manufacturing. It was reported that she only had to dismiss one employee in the entire history of the company. Okay.onto this wonderful dress.I find no flaws with this piece whatsoever.no stains. Rips, tears, etc. The ... moreonly thing is it did originally come with a belt, but over the years I assume the belt got lost. I washed it very gently, and it did very well. The only thing I see is where the pinking sheers/scissors were used to cut the extra material on the inside.there is some fraying. Not distracting, no issues with the seams, and it's usually expected on these old pieces. Authentic Vintage 1940'S SEMI SHEER COTTON VOILE ROCKABILLY JITTERBUG WWII FACTORY GIRL FULL SWEEP GEOMETRIC NOVETLY PRINT DAY DRESS with SHOULDER PADS! COMPARIBLE TO A SIZE LARGE/X-LARGE This true authentic Vintage Late 1930's- early 1940's dress has the most wonderful details including a small shawl collar neckline. Short sleeves, shoulder pads, faux pearl button front bodice/ fitted dropped waist, pleats just under hips, flowing full sweep skirt with a metal side zip closure and original fabric covered belt. All styling typical 1930's 1940's ROCKABILLY WWII JITTERBUG ERA TIME PERIOD. The dress is a semi sheer light weight woven cotton voile fabric in a beautiful geometric novelty print pattern in shades of blue on a white background. This adorable little dress is short sleeved but can easily be worn in cooler weather ... morewith a little vintage cardigan sweater. Although this dress has no manufacturers tags, I do not believe it to be handmade. It is shown with a crinoline underneath in some photos for added fullness. The crinoline is NOT included in my auction The styling is phenomenal. The dress is cute as a button and very vintage late 1930's early 1940's styled. The fabric and dropped pleated waist are just adorable! It is in VERY GOOD Condition for its age. There is some discoloration to the original belt and one of the faux pearl buttons is missing(an easy fix) This is a VERY wearable sized vintage garment. Would look great with a pair of vintage ankle strap sandals or oxfords even cowgirl boots or saddle shoes! I did not notice any rips or tears. However there is some mild discoloration to the original belt and 1 of the white faux pearl buttons is missing from the front of the dress. It is a little musty from storage but will clean up nicely with a gentle hand washing or dry cleaning. It is well preserved considering the age of the garment.
