For sale is a used Unitek themocouple welder model TCW 1-196-02 serial 921201 This unit was made in the U.S.A. I purchased this item from Ebay about three years ago but used it only a few times over that period. There was an issue recently with an inert gas line not being properly seated in a fitting which was causing a leak. This issue has been corrected and the gas line doesn't leak. I tried doing some spot welds on it recently and it worked ok. See last pic of spot weld that I did on copper wire using this welder. The wire was approximately 30 gauge. The energy control dial has a range from 20 to 40 gauge. This unit uses a handset which accepts thermocouple wire. The handset is then inserted into the welder. The welder detects the insertion and forms the spot weld in an inert atmosphere. This gives clean and consistent high-quality ... morethermocouple welds. The inside of the unit is very clean and shows no signs of repairs. Rework, or damage. There is an inert gas inlet on the rear side of the welder which is needed for making welds in an inert atmosphere. I can provide the instruction manual on a CD if needed.
