OR area totally check ... moreout this Snap Start II along with my Maxstar 152 welder. Turns out my Maxstar machine needed some repair, some parts were scarce and are costly. I talked to the technician for over a half an hour about his diagnosis. He determined my issue was all in the welder unit itself and that the Snap Start II was operating perfectly. I have decided not to repair my Maxstar and sell this High Freq Arc starter box. It is wired for 120 volt but can be changed to 230 volt(don't see the need to do that) I am not sure if this Snap Start II works on other amperage Maxstar's. You would have to do some research. I am not accepting returns on this item because it was just checked out by a Miller service center and I have no control of this unit being hooked up correctly and to what Miller power source it was being purchased for. I never miss lead buyers and always have represented every item I sell straight up. My rating shows that.

Selling a Miller Maxstar 140STR welder. This is an incredible little powerpack of a machine. It will output up to 140 Amps for Tig or Arc welding. It can auto switch between 110/120V and 220/240V single phase electric. Just use the included adapter to plug into either outlet. It is an inverter machine, so the arc is super sooth and stable, just listen to it in the attached video. Also, it weighs just 11 lbs. With all the leads and the regulator, the entire case weighs 28lbs. Of course it is backed by the legendary Miller name. I fired it up today and recorded the video below. This welder was on the first of two lines bought to weld shading pole coppers on small evaporator motors for refrigerators. They fired for probably only a couple second per cycle but have no idea how many cycles. In later years the majority of the units were ran on the remaining line as it is more versatile. This line was purchased around 1983 and we only have maintenance records from 1986. This unit was removed from production and has been stored since 2007. This line ran until the day it was decided two lines were not necessary for required production.
