This welder has been in the family for over 50 years. And has been in dry storage since the 70's. The top and base of the cover are actually made of wood! Fired it up the other day and it still puts down a great bead! There is no ID plate on the unit, so I never knew when it was made. However, upon contacting the Forney museum in Denver, Colorado with these pictures, I found it's one of the first units they ever made. see letter) I am retired and no longer have a use for it, so maybe a fabricator/old tool collector might want it. The four plugs on the side are for different amperage settings. The one on the left starting at 15 amps. And going up at 15 amp intervals up to 60 amps. It comes with the pictured mask, and a 5 lb. box of 3/32" welding rods. This machine is 3 years old but has been used maybe 6 times in that period. This welder includes the ground clamp. Electrode holder, the welding unit, a 110v adapter, manual, e7018 electrodes, and the carrying case. It can use tig but would have to be purchased seperatly. Even though the 161s will run on 110v with an adapter, its advisable to only use 3/32 rods on 110v and any larger diameter on 220v for a smooth run. All included is 40 lbs.
