The Alcotec de-coiler is used to send Aluminum welding wire to a standard Miller or Lincoln wire feeder mounted to a robotic manipulator. Due to the fact that Aluminum is so soft it is usually difficult for a wire feeder to get a good grip on the wire. If you want to feed Aluminum wire typically a push-pull feeder is used. However; the other method of dispensing wire is to employ a de-coiler. Simply put, the unit dispenses the wire out at high speed with no tension on it, you connect this liner to the inlet of the wire feed motor drive roll assembly, and now the wire feed unit has to do is push the wire 3 or 4 feed to the welding gun. Inside the unit is a torque motor that is pushing out the wire at speeds up to 750 inches a minute. When this wire meets the drive-rolls it is either sped up or slowed down, the torque motor will allow its speed ... moreto be altered without any damage to the motor. In addition the motor can be completely stalled and it still just fine. The unit operates on simple 115 volts A.C. If you noticed the Yellow Crouse-Hinse plug on the rear of the unit that is the power inlet, low wire alarm, Torque motor on/off interface point. Miller Millermatic 350P Aluminum MIG Welder with 25-ft Python gun Multi-Phase
Here is a used python gun. This welder is in great shape. Has been used with aluminum wire to do repairs on aluminum trailers. Hasn't been used in a while but did plug it up and works fine. Had to close business. Don't need anymore. Add power and ready to go to work. 1 phase 220 or 3 phase 208/460 is multi-power. The power cord is 30 + feet long with a 1 phase plug 3 wire. But the cord has 4 wires to install a 3 phase plug if need to. Do have to change something inside the machine for 3 phase. Has.035 size rollers with aluminum wire on it. Have extra rollers.035 and.045 size. Have new liner for aluminum not pictured. Have a bag of.035 tips. Will ship in the lower 48 states FREE. Welder will be strapped to a pallet and wrapped.
