Industrial Instron Calibration Weights in Wood Box set 10lb US Army vintage
This auction is for a set of Instron Calibration weights in a wood box. The box measures 14 inches by 8.5 inches by 9 inches. The box itself is functional however shows signs of wear on the outside. Inside the box is two 10 lb weights. One 1 lb weight, a 100 GM, and a 10 GM, plus two more metal pieces. The inside of the box old foam cushioning is peeling in a couple of areas. I weighed each weight on my rather nice A&D 1200.0 gram scale(not furnished by my employer) and each was dead on( within.05 grams) The accuracy rating is NBS Class P(ASTM Class 4) which is“designed for routine analytical work in the scientific or technical laboratory” That’s slightly better than OIML IR Class M1 and definitely good enough for the girls we date! The weight tolerance for each weight is shown in the picture. I find that a calibration weight between 80 and 100% of the capacity of your scale works very well.
