This auction includes one 2 1/8" X 3 1/8" advertising pocket mirror of Fairbank's Gold Dust Washing Powder. The many purpose cleaner. N. K. Fairbank's Soap Company produced numerous types of soap and cleaning products. The business operated from the late 1890's to the mid 1930's. Front of mirror is an advertisement with the Gold Dust Twins, two very cute black children, surrounded by gold coins. The orange color and the twins were one of the best name trademarks of the early 1900's. Other advertisements of that time shows the Twins tackling household chores as well as a list of 34 cleaning jobs made easier by Gold Dust. Front is ad and back is actual mirror. Front and back are in excellent to near mint condition. No printing around the edge. Okay folks and fellow Coca-Cola collectors. Here's a bottle that I'm thinking; once The Coca-Cola Company finds out about it, it ain't gonna be on the market too long. This was just produced a few weeks ago and is being sold at a small chocolate factory/tourist trap in Kissimmee Florida. Not sure how the owners got legal approval to use this name. Not sure they even contacted The Coca-Cola Company or had their lawyers do a trademark search. In any case, I bought a few because I'm thinking these are going to be off the shelves pretty soon. Again, I just can't see The Coca-Cola Company allowing this"Cocoa-Cola" chocolate soda to use such a similar name. These aren't being sold anywhere else but in the chocolate factory. A vintage Sterling silver mens ID bracelet I bought this at an Estate sale about 15 years ago and had forgotten all about it until cleaning out some boxes.I will be listing some old vintage jewelry this week also. I used a magnify glass to read the back.It is stamped"sterling" Trademark" and Pat 2255999" and has a large" XL" on it. I don't know the weight but I did take a picture with a penny next to it for size reference. The detail on the sides look like an"art Deco" design. I did not clean as I have heard you should not clean old pieces.But this could really use a good cleaning! message any questions
