We towed it up from Miami to Tampa with no problems. It was taken out of service because it was timed out. The trailer is a 1996 model and I have the title to it in my co name. The MPS series allows very high voltage. Fast rising pulses to be obtained from a compact bench top unit. This pulser has applications in many fields such as high speed camera research, electro-optic switching, triggering systems and radar. There is very little jitter in the output of the pulsers and two independent pulsers can be used in parallel to drive low impedances. This aspect makes the pulsers particularly useful for driving microchannel plate systems. This pulser can feed into a short circuit load without damage. This allows it to be used in sub-nanosecond pulse chopping systems by feeding through a pockels cell into a shorting stub. This unit requires AC power and a trigger ... moresignal to operate. The trigger signal. Which is applied to the trigger input(BNC) should be approximately 10 V with a fast rising edge( When triggered. The"triggered" light on the front panel will flash. A monitor pulse is available to establish remotely that the unit has triggered. This monitor may also be used to trigger ancillary pieces of equipment, e.g. intensifiers etc. The main output of the unit appears at the front panel connector(BNC) If it is necessary to monitor or characterize this pulse. Suitable attenuators should be used. Kentech recommends the use of a high voltage, high speed attenuator manufactured by Barth as the first attenuator in a series. The Onan PCB 300-4077 and components is being sold as is for parts or repair. Component VR1 on the PCB has been damaged beyond recognition. But with a schematic of the PCB it may be possible to determine the replacement part. A protective metal enclosure is included that went over VR1. The VR1 component area is shown in one of the pictures below with the red arrow pointing between a 4-pin connector and the Voltage Sensor K8004. The Voltage Sensor K8004 has some damage on the side of the case.

This is the voltage regulator from an J.P. Hollingsworth MEP-005a generator. We had some issues with the generator and thought that this voltage regulator was bad. But after having it sent to get tested and buying a replacement transformer, it turned out that the problem was NOT the voltage regulator. In the end, we could not find out why our generator was not producing current. I am selling this AS-IS and not guaranteeing its functionality. Although I do believe it to be working as it has been tested in another generator and was working there. This is a Grant Applied Physics/Kentech Instruments Modular Pulse Source(MPS) Pulser. The MPS series allows very high voltage. Fast rising pulses to be obtained from a compact bench top unit. This pulser has applications in many fields such as high speed camera research, electro-optic switching, triggering systems and radar. There is very little jitter in the output of the pulsers and two independent pulsers can be used in parallel to drive low impedances. This aspect makes the pulsers particularly useful for driving microchannel plate systems. This pulser can feed into a short circuit load without damage. This allows it to be used in sub-nanosecond pulse chopping systems by feeding through a pockels cell into a shorting stub. This unit requires AC power and a trigger signal to operate. The trigger signal. Which is applied to the trigger ... moreinput(BNC) should be approximately 10 V with a fast rising edge( When triggered. The"triggered" light on the front panel will flash. A monitor pulse is available to establish remotely that the unit has triggered. This monitor may also be used to trigger ancillary pieces of equipment, e.g. intensifiers etc. The main output of the unit appears at the front panel connector(BNC) If it is necessary to monitor or characterize this pulse. Suitable attenuators should be used. Kentech recommends the use of a high voltage, high speed attenuator manufactured by Barth as the first attenuator in a series. The high voltage pulse from this unit is capable of destroying many lower power attenuators, including GR types. The output may be observed with a high bandwidth oscilloscope. This may either be a fast( 3GHz) direct access type or a sampling type. If the output of the MPS pulser is to be used directly or via any passive network it is essential that cable lengths are kept as short as possible and that only high quality cable is used.
