CAST IRON LAUNDRY STOVE
I played with this stove as a child. It is a cast iron laundry stove 19 1/2" tall and the top measures 19" x l5" There are two burner plates on top and it is marked No II X Rockwood Stove Works, Rockwood, Tenn. The item is extremely heavy and would be for local pick up only. My father found this in a scrap metal yard in Dayton, Oh in 1954 and I made mud pies on it, then it became a plant stand on my front porch and most recently a printer stand for my computer.

Be sure to add me to your! This ANTIQUE 1929 PEASE CLOTHESTREE is constructed mainly of wood with metal for wheels and connector parts. It FEATURES THREE CIRCULAR LEVELS. EACH OF 12 FOLD-OUT ARMS, for hanging laundry items. The sturdy round wooden pole connects the three rows in their middle and the tapering top contains the Pease gold label. The round pole is connected at the bottom to its three legs which are on rollers. The three folding levels of arms can be folded in to collapse the tree for storage. This clothestree was a great aid to the early homemaker, especially during bad weather when indoor or porch clothes drying was preferable. Today this also makes a great display piece for small items which could be attached to the arms. This is a large piece. Standing 68 inches tall. The wood and metal pieces are still in good condition. Even the clamps at bottom and the tension knobs are still with this one. Has a patent year of 1896 on it. So about 115 years old, wow. The engineering in this thing is just amazing. Just spent 10 minutes checking it all out. And look at the great advertising that is impressed or painted or both onto the wood. Roller are also still intact. But rubber on them is starting to show crazing/cracking. Rollers still turn when you work the handle, not frozen up. 7 1/2" high x 12" x 8" Hand made from scrap wood. Stained, upholstered in a brown fern fabric. It wasn't until I was cleaning the footstool that I discovered the Waltke box end as the stool's base. If you name is WALTKE, this may be a unique item for you! William Waltke. Deceased, was the founder of the firm of William Waltke& Company, soap manufacturers and promoters of one of the extensive and important productive industries of St. Louis. He was born in Germany, November 22, 1824, and was educated in the schools of his native country. He served his time in the German army during the war of 1848. Following this, or in the year 1849, he came to the United States, attracted by the opportunities he believed he might enjoy on this side of the Atlantic. He made his way at once to St. Louis and here entered the employ ... moreof Becker& Brand, soap manufacturers, with whom he remained for five or six years. In these years a number of small renderers ran wagons throughout the city, gathering fats from the family garbage and paying for the same by exchange of soap. Mr. Waltke had learned the business of soap making and determined that his labors should more directly benefit himself. He then formed plans to gather the fat and make his own soap. It was in this modest way that he began his career as a soap manufacturer about 1860, his first"plant" being in a dwelling on Benedict avenue between De Soto and Prairie avenues. Two years later he removed to more commodious quarters at Second and Talcott streets and his business from that time rapidly developed. About 1868 or 1869 he commenced to build the extensive plant at Second and East Grand avenue, which has been the home of the factory since. Antique Wood Collapsible Laundry Basket
This auction is for one unique antique slat-wood or wicker laundry basket. With collapsible legs. It is in good condition considering its age, the leg lowering mechanism works fine; to raise the legs, you have to gently push the legs up to the bottom of the basket when releasing the handle. This basket is approximately 27 inches long. 17 inches deep and 15 inches high when collapsed; it is 27 inches high with the legs fully extended. There are some damaged slats but these should be easily replaced. I kept the legs extended and used it in my guest room to put spare blankets and quilts in next to the bed. It no longer fits the decor of my home and I am also downsizing. Thus I would like to find a new home for it; it still has many years left of use to hold light-weight items or even for decoration. Antique Hand Clothes/Laundry Agitator "Rapid Washer" By C.T. Childers
For your collecting and bidding consideration we offer an Antique Hand Clothes Agitator"Rapid Washer" By C.T. Childers. This unique hand clothes washing tool was used in a galvanized wash tub and was patented in 1894 by C.T. Childers in Galesburg. Illinois. It is made of lightweight steel and has baffles inside the funnel to mix the water and suds along with five exit holes at the top of the funnel that let the water circulate back into the tub while agitating the clothes to get them nice and clean. This measures 25&1/4" Tall x 8&1/8" Diameter and has a solid wood handle that is securely attached inside the funnel. The metal on the funnel is rusted and has some dents here and there. But that is what makes it such a nice antique tool. These are still being used by people without electricity in their home for clothes ... morewashing. It is also used at race tracks, tack rooms and on ranches to wash horse blankets. You can use this in the bathroom to hold rolls of toilet paper, or as a great primitive country piece of decor. Vintage Clothes Drier Wood Beauty Drier Laundry Hanging
Clothes dryer for use ideally in the laundry room where you can dry your delicates. It is in full working condition. It opens quickly and easily. Just pop the arms up 90 degrees and the mechanism catches automatically. Then 8 arms open to the sides a full 180 degrees. It closes just as easily so it is tucked out of the way when not in use. It mounts easily to the wall and is pre drilled. It is a rich dark aged wood that I believe is teak. Each arm is about 28” long. When closed, it is about 32" long by 7 1/2 wide. There is a cast iron bracket and a tension board that is used with the opening. This tension board remains in good shape& functional. Otherwise it is in vintage condition with wear and some wood splits. It is marked"Beauty Clothes Drier. Early 1900's. This is a very heavy advertising iron rest trivet for Troy Laundry Machinery Company. Lt'd. It has the#KK71 on the back. It measures 7 3/4" high x 5" at its widest part x 1 1/8" high. There is a hole opening at the top and two holes openings on the bottom. One on each side. It is very heavy weighing a little over two pounds. This is a great collectible.
