Vintage Surfboard 60's(Robertson-Sweet) Very Good Condition Extremely hard board to find A great addition for any collector or museum. This short lived company that produce these pop-outs did not make a lot of them. It would take to long to explain but with a little research you can find out why. Never the less it has its place in the surfing culture History. Boards Features: 60's Pop out by the Movie Actor Cliff Robertson[ the big kahuna from Gidget] and Roger Sweet. Dave Sweet's brother Very clean A extremely short live company with a very interesting history. very very hard to find one of them. Has 1 label which is in good original condition and readable Has no stringers[ stringer less] All dings have been repaired.Which were very few. and was hot-coated Over all great condition Appears to have been rode very little and dings ... moreand shatters are small and have been repaired. Measurements: Length- 9'10" nose-16" mid- 22"1/2" tail-16"3/4 thickness-3 3/4" No stringers[EXTREMELY LITE IN WEIGHT] Color- Was completely white[Gel-koted/white hot-coated] from the factory" Note" Sometime later someone painted it Gold- Everything fin too. It was a old type leaded base paint which was a bear to get off. It was than discovered it original color was white. Unfortunately it is unavoidable to not take the white off. Top of Board: Shows in good condition with very little usage and was not in the sun very much. When the paint was removed[and unfortunately the original white] it shows in very good condition. The Foam has a lot of cosmic flaws i.e. dirt marks.Colors smears, They were not too concern with these appearances on the foam seeing that it was going to be gel-koted white anyway. There are no de-lams, gassing/bubbles, twist or fiberglass split/fractures anyway- very clean. A rare find because these so called pop-outs did not survived very long. RARE VTG 1970S GUCCI ITALY LARGE WHITE VINYL TENNIS BAG GREEN RED STRIPE VHTF
I guarantee you won't find another one like this anytime soon! This bag dates from the mid-late 1970's and was bought new by my parents at the Gucci flagship store in Rome. Italy. I actually used this bag for sleepovers as a kid. It has been tucked away in storage since about 1982. It's time someone used it-ready to go to a loving home! As stated above. It is by Gucci. It is a large tennis bag with a double pull zipper at the top, a large roomy interior, two large inner pockets and one spacious outer side zippered pocket with a gold"GG" logo pull. There is a large slim side pocket that holds a tennis racket or two(shown in photos with a nice vintage racket, also listed for sale) Wide(1 1/2 inches) sturdy straps with the trademark red and green wool stripes. Around the perimeter of the bag is a red/green twist decoration ... morewith a center horse bit/abstract double G design. In the interest of full disclosure. There are some cosmetic defects worth mentioning: Some of the twist design has come off from wear; there is some soiling on the white straps(I have not scrubbed them-probably would come clean with some oxygen cleaner or mild detergent and a soft brush) there is a yellowed rectangular area at the top of one of the sides(photo#8) where an adhesive sticker had been; minor tearing at the opening of the racket pocket(photo#10) minor tearing at one of the strap attachment(photo#11) an angled cut(clean cut-could be patched from the inside) on one of the sides(photo#12) For the most part. The white is very bright and in good condition, a testament to its fine quality after all these years. Measures 22 inches long. 15 inches high, and 6 inches wide(when packed) Straps measure 7 inches from top of bag edge to the top of the strap curve(could be used over the shoulder) Very useful piece of luggage since it is expands or can be relatively flat to carry. Older less than fair quality(its grainy, has some dust marks and low contrast, from and old Tri-X film 45+ year old negative, but nice historical photo) hand printed original silver halide gelatin photograph(not a digital inkjet print) custom printed by long time Hawaii professional surfing photographer Bill Romerhaus in a darkroom from the original negative It was archivally developed in chemistry on Ilford'Pearl' semi-matte surface black& white photographic paper and mounted on a black 8x10 inch backing board with caption and photography information on the back of Hawaiian surfing legend Eddie Aikau at Waimea Bay, North Oahu, on a smaller day, he was out by himself but there were some 20 foot sets. It is initialed(BR 67' by the photographer in the lower corner and dated on the front of the photo, and is shrink ... morewrapped to protect it from damage. It has preservation tips included in the label on the back. Again, please note: it is from an older grainy negative so please be aware of that, and has some major blemishes and won't look as sharp on the larger print. It was taken when the photographer was a senior in high school, hand held, with an old Pentax 135mm lens on Kodak Tri-X. This is right before short boards started showing up on the north shore. Haven't printed a whole lot of these and it is probably a collectible. It would make a great gift for someone who likes this area or historic surfing images of Hawaii. Eddie. Who was known as a big wave rider, also liked to surf small to medium size waves at this break, Laniakea, Sunset, Haleiwa, Makaha, and Chun's Reef. Edward Ryan Aikau, who was born on Maui in 1946 was lost at sea during a ocean disaster on the Hokule'a ancient sailing canoe replica in 1978. During an extremely hazardous storm, the double hulled canoe capsized and Aikau left on a surfboard in an attempt to paddle for help, he was never seen again. Rare - Moss Titan GT tent - 3 Person Backcountry - 4 Season - Global Shipping
Moss has taken the opposite approach from North Face's Mountain Tent. Rather than a focusing on the most severe weather. Moss has designed a four-season tent that also works well in some three-season situations. Fully half the tent body opens to floor-to-ceiling mesh panels. In warm weather leaving off the fly means great views and ventilation. Another mesh panel at the rear creates excellent flow-through ventilation. A large hooped vestibule, with great headroom, gives more room for gear. The side-opening D-style doors on both the tent and vestibule made for easy entry. Unlike other tents, the Moss design leaves no"trip-strip" at the base of the door to catch your feet as you enter. The freestanding design incorporating 3 poles of equal length that slide into continuous pole sleeves. This license was issued to a 23 year man from Mansfield Ohio and has the fishing laws for that season issued on the back. Over-all condition is very good to excellent. The second item included in the auction is a 1928 Michigan Fishing laws digest that was issued by the Department of Conservation. The law digest has a total of 30 pages of information pertaining to the 28 fishing season.
