Up for auction is a vintage Frigidaire Three-Scale Volt-Wattmeter. This device was designed to assist in properly analyzing service complaints on Frigidaire water heaters. Ranges, washers, commercial and household rotary units. This instrument is designed so that the male plug can be plugged into the receptacle into which the unit is normally plugged. And the unit then plugged into the female plug attached to the meter. With the instrument thus inserted in the circuit, line voltage fluctuations at the service receptacle may be checked accurately, as well as the starting, running and stalled motor voltages and relay operation. Biddle Company Frequency Meter 380-420 CPS 100-150 Volts panel meter model Cat. No. 2997. It is used and you can see in the photos that is was mounted at one time and there are some marks to prove it. This was purchased for a project many years ago that was never started. As you can see in the photos there is some wear and it is does not have it's original box. On the back side of the meter. There is some information: The"SEALED DO NOT OPEN" sticker is intact and looks like it has not been tampered with. The"INSP. 54" sticker is intact and has not been tampered with. ... moreThe"Biddle INSTRUMENTS ESTAB 1895" sticker is present and not tampered with. The"5P" above"a symbol" with"64" below it. All of this is inside of a circle is silk screened onto, is barely readable and intact on its back side. The back side connections are the ones designed to be used by soldering on the wires directly on to the two terminals. They have had wires mounted on them before. As you can see some of the solder residue and the solder resin still on the connection terminals in the pictures. On the front side of the panel meter you can see marks from where this panel meter was mounted in a panel and there is some missing paint and small scratches from where this panel meter was mounted and the paint was chipped. Scratched or rubber away from use. I do not know if this panel meter is ruggedized for any type of mil-spec. use. This does come along with a used mounting paper/cardboard gasket for the backside of the front face to mount on a panel. No other hardware is included in this auction.
