I have listed it as"parts or repair" as it is missing items but what is here seems to be in good condition. It is missing the power cord and any others that may be needed. Therefor it has not been tested. It is missing 6 black knobs to keep wires on the posts. Photo 7. It is missing a button left of the"grid test on s.g. tube" button. Seen in photo 6 to the right of the pen. It is missing the 4"screw in" feet on the back of the case. May be missing other parts that I do not ... moreknow about. The case is in fair condition. The worst damage is: Photo 4. Wear to the top of the leather handle. Photo 6. An area of stain or roughness to the case where the pen is pointing. Photo 8 and 12. Scuffs and scratches to the case. Photo 10. Glue on the side of the lid. Photo 13. A couple of blisters on the inside of the lid. Photo 11. 14 and 15, light surface rust to the latches. And photo 16. It appears to be in good condition. But I do not know how to work it so I could not test it. The solid wood case is weathered on the exterior, and handle also very weathered. Up for sale is a complete Weston 664. 665 combination vacuum tube set tester. The set was built between 1931 and 1934 and contains a Weston model 664 capacity meter and 665 selective analyzer and several free point sockets and adapters to test radio circuits. This set comes with many extras from probes to extra socket adapters. This particular set was used on a navy battle ship during WW2 and still works. The fine item you are considering is an Antique Vintage Sylvania Vacuum Tube Tester Weston Model 678. I have lots of photos below. So be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page to take a better look. This neat vintage tube tester has a great plaque on the front which reads“Sylvania Tester“ and there‘s also a sheet of old paper tacked on the back which would seem to indicate that it‘s a Weston Model 678. The tester, which measures approximately 17” by 15 ½” looks to me to date to the 1920’s or 1930’s, with a large center meter and an all wood case. The tester is in pretty remarkable, very well cared for, overall condition, but it does have a few issues, these being that one corner of the plastic front tube panel is chipped off(see photos) and the power plug is very old and a bit smashed. Because of the condition and age of the ... moreplug, I’m not going to try to plug the unit in, so I’m selling it“as is” and as a collectable, and not as a working tube tester, but as far as I know, it may work fine once you get the plug issue straightened out. Vintage Weston Electrical A.C. Volt Meter - Model 476 0-150 Volts
This is a very nice vintage A.C. voltmeter made by the Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation of Newark. NJ. The following is stamped on the front of the dial: U.S.N. TYPE CV-22084 25-125 CYCLES. It is in very good condition for its age. It has moderate shelf wear, particularly on the back portion which would be recessed if mounted. The glass is unbroken with minor internal debris and minor discoloration of the white face plate. This meter has not been tested and is being sold as is. Approximate dimensions are: 3 1/2" x 2 7/8" not including the back bolts.
