This Sylvania 220 tube tester is in operating condition. The inside works is in excellent condition including the roller data chart. This one of the classic tube testers of the tube era which seems to be coming back. The metal case has some rust on the latches and a couple paint drips on the cover.

Up for Your consideration is a Sylvania Model 220 Mutual Conductance Tube Tester This tester has been restored to good accurate working condition. This includes cleaning all the switches and potentiometers including the pots. for calibration After calibration a number of know value tubes were tested to check accuracy. All sockets were cleaned in the pin holes and are tight. The tube compliment setting scroll lens has been polished for better view. This tester shows wear around the dials from use but still looks nice. Vintage MERCURY/SYLVANIA Tube Tester
This is a Mercury Tube Tester with Sylvania advertising. Guessing late 1950's or 1960's. Could not find any dates nor could I find any info on this particular model, you collector's and electronic's wizards will know what this is. The Serial Number is 3270042. It powers up. Red light on panel comes on as well as others, top advertising sign lights as it should. When I put tube in and press check button, needle moves as it should to check tube, see picture) It is important that you realize I know nothing about this item, or if it works correctly. The meter setting knob does not move the needle as instructions state when turned, and its knob is loose. When looking from bottom inside up to underside of control panel it appears all wiring is original and intact, but there is one red wire hanging loose, am guessing it the meter ... moresetting knob power. Also the bottom door has no key so it swings open or closed on its own. My opinion is that this item is all intact and most likely will work perfectly with a bit of help from someone to service it. I took 2 photos from inside bottom up so you could see wiring. This item is 62 inches high. Not that heavy, probably 60 pounds or so, it will break down into 2 pieces, the sign at top will come off. PICK UP PREFERRED, if you want me to ship it you will have to pay all costs, I will take it to local Pak-Mail, they will crate and or pack and ship via UPS. This is a neat old piece of history. Antique Vintage Sylvania Vacuum Tube Tester Weston Model 678
The fine item you are considering is an Antique Vintage Sylvania Vacuum Tube Tester Weston Model 678. I have lots of photos below. So be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page to take a better look. This neat vintage tube tester has a great plaque on the front which reads“Sylvania Tester“ and there‘s also a sheet of old paper tacked on the back which would seem to indicate that it‘s a Weston Model 678. The tester, which measures approximately 17” by 15 ½” looks to me to date to the 1920’s or 1930’s, with a large center meter and an all wood case. The tester is in pretty remarkable, very well cared for, overall condition, but it does have a few issues, these being that one corner of the plastic front tube panel is chipped off(see photos) and the power plug is very old and a bit smashed.
