MID-CENTURY VINTAGE 1969 ORIGINAL REPLOGLE LUNAR MOON GLOBE with ORIGINAL STAND
Original 1969 Moon globe measures 6" in diameter. Is made of metal and includes the original plastic stand measuring 6 3/4" wide x 3 1/2" tall. Globe and stand are in very good condition. The stand has slightly discolored over time. As some plastics will do, but is in overall good to very good condition. Stand and globe would probably benefit from a gentle cleaning. Moon globe denotes several many lunar locations as well as landmarks of historical importance. Including the crash site of Ranger 4, the first unmanned spaceship to land on the moon, as well as the Sea of Tanquility- landing spot of Apollo 11. This is a really cool piece of vintage space race memorabilia and would make a great addition to any globe. Mid-century or atomic age collection.

VINTAGE MID CENTURY MODERN RETRO METAL BOOKCASE SHELF STAND
This auction features this beautiful 4 shelf all metal Mid Century Bookcase in excellent condition! It measures 36 inches high x 36 inches wide x 9 inches deep and has a beautiful faux wood paint that looks like new; no wear. Cracks etc. The ends are brass and the piece is strong. It does not wobble and is straight; I took a picture on an angle so it kinda looks uneven but it is not. It will be taken apart; very easy to reassemble; the small rubber caps on the bottom of the piece are worn through; but are not necessary to the piece. The pictures were taken outside; the surface has such a beautiful finish that it picked up the shadows of the trees; there is no rust, no dullness on this beautiful piece! Vintage 1960's Shure Brothers PE-55 microphone Elvis deco old used mid century
Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a classic Shure Brothers PE-55 microphone with the 1960's black foam and black Shure badge. The legendary 55 microphone was used by many famous artists and politicians over the years including Elvis Presley and Fidel Castro. This Shure PE-55 has those clean lines and deco styling that makes this mic so popular with singers and collectors even today. This mic originally came to me with a tattered foam screen so I took liberties to carefully remove what was left of it and professionally replace it with a high quality polyeurethane that's porous and the same thickness as the original. It looks like new and and will surely last another 70 years. This mic has been tested and has a very strong. Clear signal(sounds nice) however, the multi impedence switch only seems to have one ... moresetting. This mic would still be very good for any live performance and has the on/ off switch that works perfectly.no issues. As seen in the pics provided this is a very nice cosmetic piece. The satin chrome finish is in very nice shape. There is no pitting or engravings on this piece and just the slightest hint of wear. As seen in pic# 9 and 10 there is a slight dent in the lower left grill. This could be knocked out if one chooses to do so very carefully. I left it alone as it doesn't affect the performance of this microphone in any way. Just adds character really. This is a very fine example of a 50 + year old Shure 55. Mic is solid inside and out. No loose parts. The joint mechanism holds strong and the Shure label looks very nice. The mic stand thread and cable thread are perfect. Overall this mic is an 8 + on a scale of 1- 10. Leaves and flowers. This is signed on the back, hard to read but looks like Goodrich. This is in excellent condition with only a teeny little flake in the enamel on the rim to keep it from being perfect. There is also a spot under the enamel that might appear to be a flake but it is just an imperfection ... morefrom time of manufacture. Not a lounge. a"Tavern" on Clybourn Avenue(North Side of Chicago) It sat on top of the long refrigerator case/cash register area. This spot where the poster sat was as far as a kid could go into the tavern before someone yelled at you to get up front. They sold"cold" soda like strawberry& orange Old Dutch and nickle bags of Jays potato chips. The beer had permeated the floor over the years and it had a distinctive tavern smell. Not a bad smell, but a unique one. This is a unique and rare piece of advertising approx 50 years old. The condition is not extremely good. There are holes and bends as well as damage to the edges. This Coffee Carafe eludes typical. A modern retro feel; a vintage piece produced in the early to mid 1960's. The beaker-style carafe's long neck is wrapped in alternating black and red plastic. Vinyl, or rubber lace which harnesses the metal wire handle in place. Hard-top black cap with snug-fitting cork. The cork is still soft. The glass carafe. According to the box, is Pyrex though there is no marking in evidence. The votive holder glass is made by Federal Glass. This set-up is in very excellent pre-owned condition. One can tell that it has barely been used. And gently at that. A super display or conversation piece. Vintage Mid-Century Danish Modern Teak Wood Carved Birds Eames Era Sculpture
Up for auction is a great set of hand carved birds. I believe they are teak wood. They measure 14" from tail tip to tail tip. One bird is about 7" long. And the other is about 6 1/2" long. The tallest bird is 5" tall. At the tip of his beak. The beaks appear to be carved from bone. The eyes are inlaid wood. And they have wire legs and feet. They have wire that holds them to the wood base(which may be walnut) They have a fun. Whimsical character to them. They will make a nice addition to your mid-century decorating theme. So eminently done in Hong Kong, is a diminishing craft; the ancient blue and white is often favored by collectors. This charming piece was fabricated in China not later than 1970 and shipped to Hong Kong. It is unusually heavy and sturdy porcelain without destroying the typical delicate lines. It has allowed the proper space for the traditional Chinese blue collar and base surround motif. Yet permitting generous fields for the artist to apply the unique floral design freely. VINTAGE WELDON INDUSTRIES WALL CLOCK with CANDLE HOLDER SCONCES A truly rare Mid-Century clock and sconce set made by Weldon Industries. A high-end manufacturer of 1950s-60s clocks. The rays are solid brass- not plated brass over sheet metal like most other clocks. The finish has a muted brushed effect. it has an all-over glow rather than a hard mirror-like reflection. Many hours of careful cleaning and sealing have gone into this set. it is not your typical"as-is" eBay dumpster find. It measures 38" long across its widest point. And each sconce is 36" tall. The face is beautiful and like new. no scratches. Dings or warps. There is no corrosion or dirt on any of the rays. There are a couple rays that have a slight imperfect tip or edge, I only mention it for those who use a magnifying glass. Any such rays have been used ... morein the sconces, so look closely at the photos. The round brass inserts in the candle holders show some brass aging and patina. The candle holders are fully functional and the light from the flame at night is spectacular. I will include the two candles shown here. It was initially an electric clock. But the motor had gotten loud and its brown a/c cord was ugly. It was replaced with a brand new quartz movement that runs on one AA battery. Once you set it you need not remove it from the wall until time for a battery replacement, which is likely well over a year. It will be disassembled and shipped affordably.
