It is most likely out of calibration like 99% of them being used. Our Company Ctech Electronics will calibrate your tester according to military standards(according to the military field maintenance manual) With a custom Gm simulator and calibration tubes as a reference. The service assumes a working unit. The calibration consists of: All calibration procedures follow the official military field maintenance documents for these testers. Check operation of all switches and check tube sockets. Clean and tighten as required. Align all controls. Check main meter operation for sticking. Zero set and full scale sensitivity. Test and replace Electrolytic capacitors as needed. Check all other capacitors and replace as required. Check fuse lamp and pilot bulb. Replace as needed. Check neon bulb and operation of leakage/short detection circuitry. correct as needed. Check the 5Y3GT and#83 tubes. Check waveform symmetry. If symmetry is not observed. Tubes must be replaced. Check and adjust all voltages(Pate. Screen, Bias and Signal) according to TV-7 military calibration procedures using a high accuracy voltmeter with proper loading. Adjust line circuit to proper mark.
