Here's a rare find. It's a complete. Factory built EICO 625 with a 610 adapter. This unit is fully working and ready to test. I calibrated this tester and found it to be very accurate. It's not missing any parts. The meter works very smoothly and is very repeatable. I tested all sockets except the odd-ball Hytron 5-pin and 8-pin Nuvistor. I don't have any of these tubes. As shown in the pictures. This unit looks to be factory built with final test completed on November 11, 1958. The meter is dated June 20, 1958. The roll chart is 625-09. Overall this tester is in very good condition. All the switches work well. Unit comes complete with manuals. This is probably as complete a documentation set for the 625/610 as you will find. Here is a fully working. Calibrated and tested SICO Model 85 dynamic tube tester. It comes complete with a copy of the documentation set. The documentation set includes instructions, schematic and tube test charts for the Model 85 Tube Tester. The instrument itself is in very good condition and works very well. All switches are very good. The sockets are nice and tight, and the meter is smooth and repeatable, but does have some checking in the plastic meter window. Tested with tube and lit tube up to test. Not sure of the specific functions to fully test but sensitivity knob was moving the needle when adjusting with proper tube inserted. Charts, Case RARE This Dynascan Model 707 Tube Tester is a rare find and a great value. In the range of tube testing equipment made by Dynascan during this period. The Model 707 is the top end of the spectrum with the ability to test the widest variety of tubes. This 707 seems to be in good working condition. However. I have not been able to have it calibrated, and so I am considering it untested. Many of these units were used by technicians who dragged them around everywhere. Causing wear on the case. This particular tester is decommissioned university lab equipment so the case and general state are much better than most tube testers that you might come across. Finally. This Model 707 ... morehas its original manual, two tube charts, and a few other documents. Condition: Seems to be working. But I have not had it calibrated and so I am considering it untested and selling it as such. Case is generally in good condition with the exception of a few scratches and some slight wear. Vintage Heath Co. Heathkit Vacuum Tube Tester Checker Model TC-2 With Manual This is a nice vintage Heathkit TC-2 tube tester. It has only been tested to power up. It does power up with no issues. The light behind the tube list comes on and the needle on the meter goes to the yellow area when powered up. No further testing has been done. Overall this does have wear but looks good for its age. Outside case is original and has general surface wear. Corners are beat up and one is especially torn. Looks like someone added tape all the way around or it was put there by the company(looks decorative) Overall size is 14 1/2" x 12" x 6 1/2" The lid inside has a place where it is gaping but still sealed from outside. see last pic) A bit musty smelling.No burning smell hisses or noise.

Eico model 628 tube tester and manual copy
Here we have for sale one Eico brand model 628 conductance-type tube tester. Don't know if this one was built from a kit. Or if it was factory-built. The build quality suggests to me that it was factory-made, but who knows? The screws that hold the tube sockets in place have two nuts apiece on them, so somebody wanted them to stay put where they're mounted. The power switch looks out of place because someone has added it to the tester. The original design used the"Line Adjust" control to shut off the tester. You turn this knob all the way to the left and it opens the power circuit. Not sure when the toggle switch seemed like a good idea. This is a"Conductance Tester" That means that it won't measure a tube's ability to amplify signals. It simply puts a DC current through the tube and measures the tube's"quality" ... morethat way. Crude. But it also checks for leakage and shorts. Since those three types of tube fault will cause many of the performance problems seen in consumer audio/radio/television equipment, this was considered"good enough" especially at the low-ball price you would pay for this tester when it was marketed. A lower price than a real-live"transconductance" tester would have cost you, at least. So. There you have it. This was the cheapie model 50 or so years ago. The pictures tell the story. The overload lamp is broken. It's a screw-base type 42. The setup switches reveal some of the black silver oxide that forms on silver-plated switch contacts. Some of the tube sockets look a bit crusty on the outside, but pretty darn clean on the inside. The meter's pointer moves freely, but that's all I know about that part. The roll chart has broken at the bottom end. Just short of where it says"STOP" to tell you not to crank the thumbwheels any farther. The cellophane tape that secured the end of the roll chart to the bottom roller came loose. Looks as if that end of the chart caught in the gear teeth of one thunbwheel and to

EMC Model 215 Tube and Transistor Tester with Manual Instructions as-is I read the instructions and attempted to test some tubes. The needle did not move in either direction. thus it does not appear to be in functioning order I don't have any transistors to test 2"C" batteries are required to test transistors(batteries not included) sold as-is for repair or parts the light bulb on the unit does net appear to be original(looks like a Christmas light bulb) this was a kit and includes all the corresponding paperwork: Operating manual for EMC Model 213-215 that lists all settings for each particular tube National Schools Kit manual schematics instruction sheet how to test transistors
