I have not personally used this tester myself but was told by the previous owner that he had used it approximately 3-years ago and that it was working at that time. After purchasing it. I brought it home, plugged it in, and was able to adjust the line voltage properly. I have not done any additional testing beyond this and therefore, I am selling this item in as-is, untested, used condition. As the photos show, this unit is quite clean for it's age both inside and out and all of the knobs, switches, and push-buttons are original and in great shape. All of the sockets are clean and are not cracked anywhere. The indicator needles in the three meters are not stuck and the power cord is still in great shape without being brittle. I purchased this tester without a case cover(as shown) which is how I am selling it. The tube data scroll wheel does work, and all of the data is readable however, it does stick once in a while. Own this Western Electric/ Hickok KS-15559-L1 tube checker for a great price. This item is not available for local pickup. It will need to be shipped to your location. The AC cord is dried out and should be replaced. The"line adjust" control and knob are missing, the 2 wires that were attached to it inside are taped off. The cabinet had 2 sets of 4 rubber feet originally. The four when sitting horizontally are all removed. There is one of the four missing for vertical position. It looks like there was a metal label on the outside gone as well. I don't see why someone with a little electronics savvy wouldn't be able to fix this with little effort.

Hickok 752A Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. Reads transconductance(gm) directly in micromhos. Works. But has a bad meter. Tapping on it will get it to read, but it is very erratic and needs repair or replacement. Checked with 5U4 and 6L6. Tests 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 pin, tubes for shorts, gas, and quality, including: 1L6, 2A3, 5AR4(GZ34) 5V4, 6AS7, 6CA4, 6CA7(EL34) 6BM8, 6BQ5, 6DJ8, 6EU7, 6FQ7, 6SN7, 12AT7, 12AU7, 12DW7(7247) 10, 45, 50, 83, 6550, 7025, 7027, 7189, 7199, 8417, KT66, and KT88. Here is an ugly duckling tube tester. It needs a meter cover but other than that it is complete. It does work but I'm sure it will need calibration etc. when I tested it the meter seemed to be jumpy also so you may want to check the rectifier tubes in it or the capacitors.
